I'd like a little clarification on the no-playing-on-Saturdays thing, but it would be great to get a top Cardozo kid and keep the NYC pipeline flowing. Harkless was a good start, and now we need to keep it rolling. Lavin has done a terrific job recruiting nationally, but we still need to be the destination of choice for top NYC kids.
I believe he can after sundown. I guess we could get many of our games @8pm, if attends St. John's.
I remember nearly 20 years ago there were a couple of kids (they were twins) attending a high school in my area and they were Seventh-Day Adventist. Pretty decent ballplayers and they never played on a Friday night (the night in which many high school games are played).

Zendon is a Seventh Day Adventist. Coach Ritacco went to speak to his father about not being able to play on Saturdays, and whatever was discussed, Zendon ended up playing on Saturdays.

Just wondering if Naclerio will be uncooperative with our recruiting at Cardoza. Didn't he want one of the openings on Lavin's staff?

By the end of the day, Lawrence, 16, had five new scholarship offers nevertheless – from Florida, Villanova, Marquette, Kansas State and Pittsburgh, Cardozo coach Ron Naclerio said. The quintet joins his existing ones, from Xavier, South Florida, St. John’s, Rutgers, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Fordham and Hofstra.
