James Jones - Yale Coach

Yale and Iona have played each other in each of the past 2 years. This season, Yale beat Iona by 15 points. Last season, Iona beat Yale by 16. Of course, early in the season for both teams.

Boomer and Gio may have been correct this morning when they said there was a power struggle going on and that Cragg was not able to hire who he wanted.

Whether that's true or not, this whole process has turned into one huge embarrassment for the school and I believe it's safe to say this has become one huge, royal clusterf**k! The only thing that would make this even worse is if Cragg resigns over this fiasco. I don't even want to think about that.

Iona lost to all 3 Ivy League teams that they played this year, along with the one Big East team (Providence) played.

Go with who Cragg wants (Cluess). Is the school seriously too poor to get him?
Scheyer is looking pretty damn good right about now.
Maybe that's Cragg's strategy
wouldn't it be funny if we wounded up with greg st jean as the head coach

NO. It wouldn't be funny. It would be very sad.

Gio gets his SJU info from Zags, Brazilier, NY Post, and Twitter. Nothing they know we don't.

I had not heard on this board before about any power struggle within SJU Admn or that Cragg was not being allowed to hire who he wanted.

Funny is not the word I would use. Pathetic!

True, not his best team at Iona but they closed with 10 straight wins to finish over .500 and win their conference tournament and NCAA bid.

Good coaches have their teams improving at the end of the year. Bad coaches don't usually do not.

How did our last 6 weeks play out again?
