It's a new season now !!!!!

The ebb and flow of a college basketball season. There are 3 types of results a team has in my opinion. Bad loss, hold serve, get back W. This was a get back W. We righted some wrongs as a 7.5 point dog. We beat a team that came to our house last year and really damaged our chances. And we made up for some of the bad road losses we had in January.

Great f'ing game as Maher would say!

Exactly, now we're -1, lets get that back Tuesday.

Record vs top 50: 2-5

My guess is we dance if either (a) we go 4-2 in the remaining conf games and win 1 in the BET, or (b) go 3-3 and win a couple in the BET. I think 22-11 or 22-12 gets us in.

Great bet-you called it.

It's now official. We can now talk about the possibility of dancing without being committed to Creedmore.

If you are referring to the psychiatric hospital on Winchester Boulevard where I worked for 15 years, it's Creedmoor. If we go in to the Big East tournament playing for seeding in the NCAA tournament as we are already a lock for a bid, I promise to evidence manic glee worthy of hospitalization.

Yes, I wasn't sure of the spelling. I do work extensively with behavioral health facilities, and as you are probably aware, after 15 years it's sometimes difficult to tell the patients from the employees - especially the ones who've worked there a while. Not you of course.

Manic glee? If that's the price to pay for an NCAA bid, sign me up :)..

1. I wish i made this trip, but I was at MSG for Duke and at Butler so didn't want to jinx.
2. What a roller coast season...which is expected when you're talking about kids in their late teens and early 20s. Which is why I need to calm down.
3. Sir Dom is the most NBA ready player on our team, in other news, he was the highest rated HS player of the class still here, I never understood that, that's why I don't forecast CBB talent, I watch games.
4. This team isn't fun to watch, they are the most maddening, enigmatic, exhilarating, Jekyll and Hyde team. They wear red, represent us, and I back them unconditionally. That's why I watch.
4. I will change my mind 453,187 more times about selection Sunday and our chances

Good post as always. In the glory days, I'd float home from games, and into work the next morning. Now, even after wins, I feel as if I just went 15 rounds. I'm not quite confident of their ability to grit it out, and when they do, feel more like it was an escape than a resounding victory. I'll take it, and game to game find this an immensely enjoyable season. We have been in competitive games for nearly the entire D1 schedule. What is our record, 17-8? Our best record after 25 games in a very long time. And yea, their OUR team, not a bunch of professionals we've latched onto as fans.

The effort, especially from D Lo and Pointer, is incredible. They have left nothing on the floor all season. It will not be easy to get to the tourney. It never is when you dig a 0 and 3 hole, and have little depth and some nagging injuries. At least the hard work is paying off. They need to remember that good things happen when you trust each other. The key moment was late in the game, up 3. Phil IV had mad a few selfish plays in a row, leading to misses. He fakes the 3, draws a double team, and hits Jordan who nails the 3. Game over.

A bunch of guys on this current squad remind me of the type of heart Chris, Ronnie, Charles Mineland, Ty Grant had, tough customers. refuse to give in, never back down.

We don't need 22 wins to get in. 21 will be sufficient.

So funny..on the occassions that I bring my wife to a game, she can't believe how serious and nervous I become

Same here. This is the first season that she's come to a lot of games. .I am engaged on every minute of the action, and am not good company.

You can get on the carousel or you can ride Rolling Thunder!

I'll go for Soarin' at Epcot over the inverted roller coasters at Universal any day. But that's just me. :)

Probably my favorite ride anywhere, Beast! Just road it again this past summer (my third time between Florida and California versions - they are the same both places), and I think it's my favorite. Almost anyone can ride it.

My wife's favorite ride too. But I can't ride it. I have a fear of heights.

A few years ago before they created a low intensity version of Mission to Mars. I was waiting on a long line, when suddenly the line stopped for about 20 minutes. Then they wheeled a person out on a stretcher. That was enough for me. I bailed.

A few people have died on that ride, usually due to underlying health issues, so they created a dumbed down version of it.
