It's a new season now !!!!!

Very exciting team...so easy to root for. It's shame there has been so much negativity this season with the fans, because the kids are playing their asses off.

What a gutsy win. What a great game by Amar. Reynolds toyed with Sampson and Sanchez last year to the tune of like 19 and 17. It just goes to show you how far having two big men play like big men, with hustle and physicality can you get. Amar outplayed and even bullied Reynolds during our 8-0 stretch to change the game. A diaper dandy.

Dom is deserving of first team all Big East...dare I say even over Harrison. Big shot Phil strikes again. Get ready to dance.

Agree. So proud of our guys. If you watch the last Red Storm Report, they showed the guys interacting with the fans at an earlier event. Watching them made me like these guys so much more. They really care for the fans and listening to DLo say how he feels about the fans makes me respect the guy even more. And I didn't think that was possible.

Screaming in my hotel room in Naples Florida to chagrin of Mrs. Paultz. :)

That explains it all now. Me driving from Sarasota to Miami today and crossing our energy has thrown off the cosmic balance.

It's been really cold here the last few weeks...I hope it warms up for you.

Fantastic win today and a lot of fun to watch. I love when we get this feeling back of marching toward the tourney. You can just see the team coming together and playing to their strengths. The injuries are tough, but we look like we've figured out how to work around them, and that goes for Coach who is using his bench well to buyour guys time to heal and recover from foul trouble. I can't wait for the G'Town game.

Xavier was 11-1 at home. This will look damn good if we can be relevant on selection sunday

I was here all week. Used to live in Naples for seven years, so I'm used to cold spells. Back to frigid NY tomorrow. Thx man!

Safe travels Paultz. Weather here tomorrow is supposed to be pretty bad. Snowing fairly hard here now. Stay down there!

Just got off the golf course. (beautiful 85 degrees here in Palm Springs by the way ;) ). Only saw the last 50 seconds. Was explaining to my wife on the ride out how this game would make or break the season. Glad it's not broken. Makes up for a mediocre round of golf.

This is dedicated to the seniors on this team, who won't be denied theirs dream of playing in the ncaa tournament.

I already the video I'm playing once we are in.

It's now official. We can now talk about the possibility of dancing without being committed to Creedmore.

If you are referring to the psychiatric hospital on Winchester Boulevard where I worked for 15 years, it's Creedmoor. If we go in to the Big East tournament playing for seeding in the NCAA tournament as we are already a lock for a bid, I promise to evidence manic glee worthy of hospitalization.

Been saying for most of the season that this is my favorite squad in a long, long time. They never quit, ever. I don't know why there are fans who were so quick to quit on them. These kids deserve to enjoy March. Hopefully their hard work in February will make sure of that.

Today was another enjoyable game in many that I have seen this season. Nice to see them at .500 in the 2nd toughest conference in the Nation.

Back to 500. What a f'ing game !!!!

Awesome !!!!!!!! So proud of the guys and staff today

Washington Irving who played ball for his namesake high school in NYC ( really SS&G? )
said "I'm always at a loss at how much to believe of my own stories".
We each seem to have a story about today's game. Here's mine:

Loyal son so I spent the day at veterans home at albans visiting my 89 yr old mom (widows are eligible my dad served in Burma WWII) no TV
On way back to sag stopped at Hampton bays car wash & they were nice enough to find the game. Watched some at a time when when the European kid (?) missed s 3 other but grabbed a few rebounds. Score was about 50 ish.
When I arrived home saw we had the big "W"!!!

I never got off the proverbial bandwagon but when we'd lose I'd pout and when we'd win my eyes would light up.

Well my eyes are lit!!!

Look forward to reading the lists herein. Thanks guys & gals.

all the best.
Is there a bar at the car wash?

I did give up, but not on the kids. I just did not figure they could overcome lack of size and depth. Does Lav get any credit for holding them together. I wanted him shot for the position he put them in.

Which one would you pick: today's win or an under par round of golf? :)

They work so hard....they have an identity...they work together. Amar is coming along...getting better every game...hopefully he can get to where we need him by March. Jordan is really the key. He is the only guy out of sync, but he gives such a + effort on d and the glass if he would just pick his spots better on offense. Let's get him back in the lane and high post.

I really like this team and I am enjoying the season very much. Amar is raw and honestly probably should be playing very little this year, but his effort and competitiveness are just amazing. At the very least he wasn't going to let Reynolds do what he did to us last year and we didn't have anyone that could do that last season.

Watched most of the game on the tube, some listened to the end on the radio. You could hear how pumped Minkow and Tierney were down the stretch. I like their broadcast.

Honestly, the guys are giving maximum effort, and positive things usually happen when that is the case. Cintas Center is not an easy place to walk out with a W.

Good job men, and Coach Lavin pulled a lot of the right strings.

Onto G-Town, we owe those guys a L, especially down there.

Back to one game at a time, Beat Georgetown, Go St. John’s!

Agree Lavin did a good job today the only real criticism I have is when half court offense bogged down in middle of second half and we weren't getting good shots and Sheed was turning it over would have liked to see Branch in game, he was playing very well today.

The ebb and flow of a college basketball season. There are 3 types of results a team has in my opinion. Bad loss, hold serve, get back W. This was a get back W. We righted some wrongs as a 7.5 point dog. We beat a team that came to our house last year and really damaged our chances. And we made up for some of the bad road losses we had in January.

Great f'ing game as Maher would say!

great win….

I think the turning point of the season was when Lavin added Amir Albogovic into the rotation.

Now with Balamou healthy we have an 8 man rotation.

Great win and D'Angelo is the toughest player SJU's has had since Ron Artest IMHO.
