Isaiah Whitehead, SG (Seton Hall verbal)

This is a recent post from Tiny himself. Chew on this.

@booksb4ball: You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.”

If I was unsure before, but all this has cemented my hatred for all things twitter. I can't decipher any of this prattle.
That was posted nearly 3 weeks ago. I wouldn't put much weight on that.

My question would be why was it targeted at Book? He couldn't get Tiny a job at AU?

Were you making a funny there about Twitter language?

Well it wasn't a serious question, if that's what you were asking. LOL

Booksb4ball is his name and he was saying the quote. Nothing targeted at Book.

Yeah, I don't do twitter and I got Booksnball and Booksb4ball mixed up. LOL

Yeah at first glance I was thinking of him too.

I hope no one is surprised he picked Seton Hall.

Once, Morton parlayed for a gig, and, supposedly, got the gig, then this was a done deal to Seton Hall.

I wouldn't doubt one bit we had him in the bag last night 'til Morton got the gig.

Moving on....

i actually would be embarrassed to say i'm going to Seton Hall over the 4 other schools. empty crowds , no headlines , playing at a hockey arena who team doesnt pay the rent ! Embarrassed - ! Lavin should be embarrassed too ! lose a local kid # 12 in nation ! What a joke !

They need an Under Armour contract. The shirt he was wearing looked like it was from the 1980's.

January 23rd at Carnesseca Arena better be standing room only.

You blow the doors off them. Completely run them out of the gym.

Plain and simple.

Again, you have to understand and accept the dynamic; quid pro quo. SHU took care of Morton, Morton fulfilled his end of the bargain. I believe SJU was played; it was worth it for us to get involved because in the end we had nothing to lose, but IMO we were played nonetheless. Long term this may not be the greatest thing for SHU, the sleaze is so obvious it is dripping. Having said that it is what high stakes recruiting can become and there are many who post here that woud like SJU to operate similarly. And maybe we would be willing to, like all others this is very much a bottom line business.

@AdamZagoria: Tiny Morton: "I expect to be the coach at Lincoln until somebody offers me a [college] job...Help me out."

:furious:

Why should Lavin be embarrassed to losing a kid who followed his HS coach?

So, I guess you expected for Morton to get an assistant deal with Seton Hall, and Whitehead goes to St. John's, huh?

I think this is fantastic! He is a great kid! Seton Hall is a very classy basketball organization...hats off to them. But I'm also glad we have Lavin...he will lead us to 30 wins and a Final Four this year! Our offense will be #1 in the nation and we will likely get all top 5 recruits in 2015. Losing a McD's AA from NYC to Seton Hall is not a big deal at all, I mean...who needs those kinds of players? Not us! In Lavin we trust. I heard he was working on age-reversal cream he invented. Our plan is to apply it to Mullin, Artest, Barkley, etc. He really is a miracle worker!

Sometimes losing McD AA recruits is a good thing! We are truly blessed! I can't wait to see our offense totally dominate! It's not like we needed anymore firepower. Steve Lavin may not have won much with SJU, but he is one hell of a nice guy with slicked back hair and a gorgeous wife! Sometimes that's more important guys! What New York really craves is a slick coach who can recruit and marry a hot wife, but maintain a level of mediocrity that the fans all know and love! We want to be "ok", but not "too good". Remember that!

Is this kind of post more acceptable for you guys? Lol...

Will he sign early?
What if Hall tanks this year?

Just some things I wonder

Thinking the same thing. Although seeing Whitehead change his mind is more difficult to see happening with Tiny's new job in the balance.

@AdamZagoria: Isaiah on if he would like to see SHU hire Tiny: "Definitely, that would make me even more comfortable."

I see you you woke up from your nap.

Every seen Steve Lavin turn beet red?

@AdamZagoria: Tiny Morton said he spoke to Steve Lavin today and asked him whey they didn't a spot for him at #stjbb

Actually, the only posts of yours that made any sense were the ones you didn't post while on hiatus.
