Is St John's A Sleeping Giant?

With top coaches getting fired after making the NCAAs it kind of makes you wonder why we're willing to wait five more years (eight in total) for something good to happen here. Add in the recruiting whiff for 2013 and the one and done front court next year and you have to wonder where it's all headed. We should be better next year but replacing Harrison isn't going to be that easy. Can anyone really project success in 2014/15?.

can anyone predict failure in 2014/15 ? Jeez why not play 2013-14 first and see what happens
The odds are we will have DLO,Dom,Amir, Greene,Branch as seniors and CO,Jones Balamou,Hooper as JRs. not a bad core in 14/15.

Key pro STJ factor I have not seen talked about is Obekpa growth and development. At start of year Chris and Jakarr looked about the same size,. Assuming that Jakarr has not shrunk CO seems to have gotten much bigger. Development of CO's game was obvious during the season and given his youth and inexperience much more progress should be expected. Baby hook going left would do wonders for his offense.

Obekpa couldn't shoot a free throw early on and he got better. Lets hope he improves in other areas and Sanchez lives up to expectations. With an experencied God's Gift we'll have a very good front line. Throw in Jordon and we'll be a force . Lets hope the uncertainty at UCLA and Temple being in a conference that might fall apart that Jordon picks us. Get him and we'll be rolling.
