Open your eyes. We had 3 seniors leaving after this year, now Sampson declaring to go into the draft, now rumors about CO declaring.
Where are Lavins recruits? Only Adonis is coming in so far? Lavin said he he expected 3 or 4 players to leave. Isn`t Lavin a great recruiter? So why only 1 recruit so far?
Please don`t listen to his BS that oh we could play like Nova.
Leaving from the front court are: Sanchez, GG, Sampson, and now possibly CO. You can`t replace them with the redshirt Jones and Adonis who will be straight out of HS.
I also understand that you won`t want to eat 2 years on Lavins contract, but can you not extend him, and see what happens next season.
Yes, you`ll get those that say: "oh but we have to extend Lavin, or he`ll be a lame duck coach.", but even if you extend him, is there a gaurantee that Briscoe and Diallo is going to come? Nope.
Finally, I`m sure Lavin is a great guy and personality, but my #1 concern as a fan is the state of our basketball program.
Ask yourselves this: Did we bring him in for the NIT or to get to the NCAA.
Now ask yourselves this: Will we be getting to the NCAA next year? If not then it will be year 4 of his recruits and no NCAA bid.
Is that a successful coach?????
