Incarnate Word, Fri. Dec. 18, 7pm, FS1 & 970 AM

Imagine getting LoVett back for this one....

Semester ends on Saturday so I think the best we can hope for is NJIT.

How does a semester end on a Saturday? Would think all finals would take place by Friday night

Since no one has ever heard of this school I have kinked some information from Wikipedia about the University of the Incarnate Word which is located in SanAntonio Texas.

They have already played three monsters in Cal, Purdue and OK. They gave Cal a scare and Cal is pound for pound one of the most talented teams in the country if still young. They are averaging 12 steals per game. Turned Cal over 19 times (13 steals). Turned OK over 19 times as well but most of those were against OK bench. Lovett would be exactly what we need because they will play small and probably pressure us the entire game. Apparently they also play a lot of zone so that my play in our favor. This game and NJIT are very dangerous because they are looking at us as beatable and signature.

Not that RPI means anything but Incarnate Word's RPI is a very respectable 135. This could very well be a tough game. Hopefully the kids aren't too overconfident. I'm sure CM will have them ready to play.

Long Beach St type schedule.

I think the easy win over Syracuse was like the bad loss to Fordham, anomalies. Word and NJIT are stronger then the other teams we beast mostly in close games but not as good as Indiana who hung pretty tough with. We need to play our best to win these games before another game we could struggle with against South Carolina especially without Lovett.

NJIT is very well coached. We really can't look past any of these type teams, but rest assured this squad will be well prepared & disciplined. First things first however, "Beat IW"!!

They are getting beat tonight by the immortal Our Lady of the Lake University, an NAIA school also from San Antonio.

Down 81-76 with 6 and a half minutes to go.

This team has showed that it can be beat by anyone. I take no game for granted and am confident that the staff has the same view. We will be prepared, and let's hope we execute half as well as we did against Cuse.
