Outside of St. John's is used to try to watch many other Big East games if home...even during early season to see familiar faces and see how they may be.

With NIL and roster turnover the familiar faces are few. I found myself rarely watching any other Big East games until conference play and even then only the better matchups. Had little interest in a DePaul v. Prov as example. Expect same or less this year and watch all SJU, UNC and some better conf match-up ls

Will you change?

I put “not sure” but probably closer to “depends”.

The thing that led me to watch less games last year was that the quality of basketball was just not that good or entertaining after the NCAA teams. It’ll probably be the same next year. Don’t think that’s a departure from the previous years and unsure on how NIL impacts it

I answered the same. My logic is if NIL affected my viewing it would make sense that I watch more Marquette games than other Big East teams since they have not been using the portal. But that is not the case I tend to watch Big East games when I’m around unless they are between a couple of bottom dwellers.

No question, roster turnover makes it harder to follow who is on each team. There are fewer nemesises. It was easy to hate Archidiacano, Mcnamara, Cooley, Pittsnoggle because they were around for years. Not one year hired guns.

(Realizing now I disproportionately hated opposing white guys.) Also, former BE teams don't get enough hate on here. Syracuse was so obnoxious and cheated every step of the way. Never forget.

Agree w this 100%, although my answer would be "same". I've never been inclined to watch two bottom feeders go at it, but Creighton-Marquette or Xavier-UConn? I'm in! Even a Providence-Butler game I'll throw on, maybe not with the same focus but still watch over the top of my laptop.

And I know a few people have said the NIL era makes them watch less because they don't know the guys on other teams but that's exactly why I do watch, especially early season. Gotta see who's who on the teams we'll be playing.

I love college basketball and so I will watch it whenever I can. Way more than the NBA which I have grown away from (except the Knicks). The NFL home teams get my eyes on the tube, same with home teams MLB, but there are so many baseball games you can miss some and it doesn't matter. Devils and Rangers when there isn't anything better sports-wise on the tv.

Once St. John's starts its CBB season I am all over them and it. The Big Dance opening round is almost a Holiday for me.

Being in Providence and watching us beat Omaha was my mini Super Bowl weekend. Plan was to go to San Antonio but Razorbacks got in the way of a true Super Bowl-type experience.

Like Joe Begningo and his teams, Come On St. John's one Championship in my lifetime, PLEASE.

It may limit the ability to go to certain games. Last season the UConn game ticket price was just out of my range. So the increase of NIL players bring more interest into the program and increase in ticket demand so it may limit what games I go to.

Because I didn't go to the UConn regular season game, I did go to the BE Semi and Finals with my son so that was amazing. I did take the trip up to Providence for the Arkansas game.
