Outside of St. John's is used to try to watch many other Big East games if home...even during early season to see familiar faces and see how they may be.

With NIL and roster turnover the familiar faces are few. I found myself rarely watching any other Big East games until conference play and even then only the better matchups. Had little interest in a DePaul v. Prov as example. Expect same or less this year and watch all SJU, UNC and some better conf match-up ls

Will you change?

I put “not sure” but probably closer to “depends”.

The thing that led me to watch less games last year was that the quality of basketball was just not that good or entertaining after the NCAA teams. It’ll probably be the same next year. Don’t think that’s a departure from the previous years and unsure on how NIL impacts it

I answered the same. My logic is if NIL affected my viewing it would make sense that I watch more Marquette games than other Big East teams since they have not been using the portal. But that is not the case I tend to watch Big East games when I’m around unless they are between a couple of bottom dwellers.

No question, roster turnover makes it harder to follow who is on each team. There are fewer nemesises. It was easy to hate Archidiacano, Mcnamara, Cooley, Pittsnoggle because they were around for years. Not one year hired guns.

(Realizing now I disproportionately hated opposing white guys.) Also, former BE teams don't get enough hate on here. Syracuse was so obnoxious and cheated every step of the way. Never forget.

I watch St. John’s games not much more now except when we recruit a kid from another team then I act like I watch every game they ever played so I can make up my scouting report :)

NO.
I watch us every time possible, of course.
But frequently I will watch Big East teams vs other conference teams.
And then I enjoy a few other schools that have ties to our family…..Tennessee, Penn State, Notre Dame.
That won’t change.
I dont like what NIL has done, but I won’t punish myself for it.
