Holiday Festival

Some of Mike's mixed optimist/pessimist posts confuse me, but appreciate his passion to building the fan base at games etc.

Hopefully this is a short stay and will be reconsidered.

MZ if you pick a new team to root for and post on their boards don't make it Cal-Berkeley. You won't last 2 seconds. ;) :)

Fellas, let him back please. Redmen.com is the oldest college basketball forum on the entire net I’m almost positive. I was one of the original moderators and I had a hard time doing the job due to conflicts, but Mike Zaun isn’t the guy to ban. This place is home fellas... don’t shut down big mouths just for the sake please... we need all the fans we can get..

Haha thanks man...seems like a fun bunch. As a fellow IPA fan, I've never tried the Bronx Pale Ale. On my to do list.
I will buy you a bronx pale ale till you get reinstated each home game and I pray thats before the next home game. lol
I wouldn't wish that deal on my worst enemy ;) anyway, the food is terrible in Redmen jail. Also hoping to avoid Fun in the shower.
That last sentence might be the funniest thing anyone here has ever written.

It just morphed into the scariest when reminded of fun's john gacy clown avatar.

Everyone that posted here will be locked up in Redmen jail for "going off topic."
:)

I too would rather Zaun not be sent away. Like Josh Roberts and Greg Williams he needs experience and he can't get it from the bench. Hope he can get a pardon.

IDRAFT gets best analogy of 2018 with the Zaun-Williams-Roberts comparison :)

I would have compared him to Marcellus.

I was thinking more of Amar. He was gone and then he was back.

Does anyone know what the "Coach's Decision" was for not starting Clark, Simon and Figuroa (I think) at Sunday's game? I'm sitting there and as the players walked out on the floor and immediately said what' going on? Why the lineup change. If you watched the press conference after the game the first question was asked to Mullin and it was why Clark and the other starters were benched and you could sense the tension in the air. And it continued when Clark was asked to comment on the question right after. At least the tension seemed to go down when Mullin was asked if the issue for not starting Clark, Simon and Figuroa was settled now and after a pause Coach said, "Yes, " followed by a smile.

Apparently they were "late" but no details were provided.

For the record, Maher showed up late also, arriving as the game started. He was not allowed to drink until halftime as part of a disciplinary action. Coach's decision.

I wanted to see more of Greg Williams, but he telegraphed that pass and it lead to a point swing. Hoping vs. Wagner. St. Francis, and SH we see some minutes before Big East play.

What a great handle name.
I vote for automatic promotion to the big boy forum.

Thanks Moose, the goal is to get promoted to the big leagues.

In all seriousness, I know the freshman have to work for PT, but I want to see them earn some minutes before Big East play where they ride the bench.

An old hs coach told me once that a coach would never keep someone on the bench that he believed could help the team. Unless you have been to every practice for the past 2 months we don't have enough info at this point to question coaching decisions as to minutes. It's easy to question and hard to trust, but I've just kind of trained myself to do that, whether is Lavin or Jarvis or Mullin. Roberts on the other hand favored Boothe over hardy, so that kind of kills the theory except the fact he hardly had a clue.

Don’t get me wrong, I totally agree. I coached HS basketball. In blowout I would like to see some more minutes and in non-conference games because we all know come BE time unless these guys are trusted we won’t see them.
