Have your tickets from MSG arrived yet?

We want Dennis Myron back!!!

I know a lot of people on here probably like Dennis because he helped them out with something once or twice. But when you have such a piss poor numbers of season ticket holders its pretty easy to help out everyone at one point or another.

His archaic ways are what drove them into what they are now.

The simple solution is to just set up a table in the MSG lobby and hand the tickets out there. Jhansonbro told me they aren't allowed to do that though.

There's a table there for every game to hand out comp tix to recruits, coaches, etc.

That's what I said, but I was told that it's NCAA rules to have the table set up there for player guests, and that MSG won't let them set up a table for student tickets. When I pointed out that students had to pick up BET tickets at a table set up at MSG I was told they allow St. John's to do that because it's such short notice. But what I don't understand is, if it's short notice for us (the school closest in proximity to MSG of all the BE schools), why isn't it short notice for the other 15 BE schools? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure none of the other school's had a table set up for their students to pick up their tickets at last year's BET. I don't know, I obviously don't know the logistics that go into these things, and I know Dolan runs a strict empire, but I just find it extremely hard to believe that MSG won't let them set up somewhere or even use one of the 10 unused ticket windows. As I think Moose said, G'town and Nova both play at professional arena's and don't have this problem, so why do we? I just can't believe there's NOTHING the school can do about it. I mentioned that they should call stubhub and tell them to not sell tickets in the student sections (apparently many schools do this) and was told they'd definitely look into that, but I'll believe it when I see it. Looks like it's gonna be another season with dozens of random unsuspecting fans (mainly of opposing teams) scattered throughout the student section thanks to the ineptitude of the STJ ticket office.

Georgetown I know has, or used to have (don't know if it's still there), a table set up in the conference room of one of the hotels at BE Tournament time. It was for student pick-up by session, and for season ticket holders that bought BE Tournament, to pick up for the entire tourney. They were also willing to resell unused administrative tickets to the general public on a session-by-session basis (though when Georgetown made a deep run, those became more and more difficult to get).

Picked up my MSG tickets today at CA, where the douchebag kid in front of me waiting for his tickets told me he bought them just so he could re-sell them. Immediately went to the athletics office where they basically told me they can't do anything about it.

Cant they have one of those ushers check student id's to be able to sit in the seats or something ?

Villanova doesn't have seaosn tix for students. The demand is so high that they use a lottery system on a game by game basis. Tickets are free for students in the lottery system.

My daughter said that at Villanova, they have people fomr Villanova in the student sections checking and scanning student ID's, and that you must be a student to sit there. By scanning your ID you got points, and you were more likely to get tickets in the lottery system. If you are caught selling a sutdent ticket, you are banned form the lottery system.

Moose, Dennis did a great job, even when we sold the entire place out. To be honest, he helped me whenever i called. The best thing he ever did for me and my friends was for tickets to the Final four. there was a huge crush for tickets, and we got shut out. Dennis knew that my friends and I not only had season tix for 8 years at this point, but also frequently followed the team on the road. He said, "You guys have been there always, and have been our best fans. You deserve to go to Lexington."

Dennis knew season ticket holders by name and voice, even if he didn't know your face. Frank you are a good guy, but way off base about Myron. He was one of the best things about our program during his 30 plus years at St Johns.

Have to agree to disagree here Beast. Maybe back in the Mid 80's he was great to you and others when interest was thru the roof. But in the last 10 years when ticket holders should have been treated a lot better in light of the tons of empty seats, I and many others in the know, felt he was still working as if it was the 80's.

Moose, I had many conversations with Dennis about treating season ticket holders (especially long temr ones) letter, and he was in agreement, but he did not formulate policy in terms of the point system and other decisions. Dennis would do little things, like call me if I was late sending in season ticket money, or holding the tickets until he coul dget hold of me. I don't think I was treated any differently than any other ticket holder. I do respect your opinion and experience thought.

Right now we have some great people in the athletic department, and you and I would bpoth agree that Kevin Barry does a great job.

I agree Dennis was not responsible for Points System.

The key is finding balance between the Mom and Pop STJ used to be known as to a big time program it strives to be. Certain people are in place but there is still plenty of room to grow.

The realy simple thing to do would be to just distribute them when the CA tickets go out --- what's the be deal, the schedule isn't a secret?

The really simple thing would be to distribute game tickets to students a day or two before the game so they wouldnt have time to sell them on stubhub.

So here I am living over 2 hrs away with none of my six MSG tickets and nobody is answering at the ticket office. (990-6211). No capacity to leave a message and nobody who gives a crap. At least Dennis gave a crap so I miss him. This all goes along with the six scholarship players, the Norm Roberts joke etc., etc. Maybe an exorcism is what's needed for this accursed program. Then again I think how they'd probably screw that up and all the talk about the end of days........Let me try them on the phone (long distance of course) just one more time. Such fun being an SJU fan.

I just got my MSG tickets yesterday via Fed Ex, and I live in Manhattan. So it's possible they could be on their way to you today Bobre.

Email Melissa Manno she is the Director of Ticket Operations

Took me 4 calls yesterday to to even get an answer.
Asked about yukon tickets in Hartford and they directed me to the Red White Club.
Called Kevin Barry who asked if I had called the ticket office.
Kevin said he'd call me back with ticket info.
I'm still waiting.
I miss Myron.

Havent gotten mine yet.

I got mine last Friday. You should call the ticket office. You have to be there to sign for them.

This was the 1st year I ever had to sign for them, I wonder why that changed, and it is a dumb rule. Leave the tickets in the door if nobody is home

Your FedEx guy must like you but I've had tickets for like 8 or 9 years now and had to sign every year. Past two years I changed ship to address to work so I know a mail guy would be there.

I've had to sign for mine for the last 5 years at least if not longer. It's the University's way of preventing theft and ticket fraud.
