Have your tickets from MSG arrived yet?

Have any other season ticket holders not received their tickets from the Garden yet? Just curious. I know the Fordham game isn't for two weeks, but I still thought I'd have the tickets in hand by now. Interested to see what section I'm in this year as well.

Picked up my MSG tickets today at CA, where the douchebag kid in front of me waiting for his tickets told me he bought them just so he could re-sell them. Immediately went to the athletics office where they basically told me they can't do anything about it.

Why did you go to the athletics office? Is that against the rules or something?

It's incredible (but not unbelievable) that the athletic department wouldn't want to know that a student buying great seats at a discount price would be reselling tickets at a profit.

This would be resolved if the tickets were stamped "STUDENT TICKETS/ STUDENT ID REQUIRED. CANNOT BE TRANSFEERED OR RE-SOLD"

Stubhub or brokers would not touch those tickets, nor would people receiving them through a broker, even if the checks were spot checks at the gate or rarely if ever done.

We must have the weakest infrastructure of any major university. What an idiotic response

Would love to know what Gtown and Nova do for student tickets at the Phone Booth and Wells Fargo Center.

The simple solution is to just set up a table in the MSG lobby and hand the tickets out there. Jhansonbro told me they aren't allowed to do that though.

There's a table there for every game to hand out comp tix to recruits, coaches, etc.

Tickets arrived today. Looks like we got pushed over one section further from the action. Must be all those Large $$$ Benefactors causing it.

That's what I said, but I was told that it's NCAA rules to have the table set up there for player guests, and that MSG won't let them set up a table for student tickets. When I pointed out that students had to pick up BET tickets at a table set up at MSG I was told they allow St. John's to do that because it's such short notice. But what I don't understand is, if it's short notice for us (the school closest in proximity to MSG of all the BE schools), why isn't it short notice for the other 15 BE schools? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure none of the other school's had a table set up for their students to pick up their tickets at last year's BET. I don't know, I obviously don't know the logistics that go into these things, and I know Dolan runs a strict empire, but I just find it extremely hard to believe that MSG won't let them set up somewhere or even use one of the 10 unused ticket windows. As I think Moose said, G'town and Nova both play at professional arena's and don't have this problem, so why do we? I just can't believe there's NOTHING the school can do about it. I mentioned that they should call stubhub and tell them to not sell tickets in the student sections (apparently many schools do this) and was told they'd definitely look into that, but I'll believe it when I see it. Looks like it's gonna be another season with dozens of random unsuspecting fans (mainly of opposing teams) scattered throughout the student section thanks to the ineptitude of the STJ ticket office.

Maybe it's me....but.... $75 per ticket (face value) is a lot of money for a college game. Unless we turn this ship around early in the BE season I don't see many seats getting filled. I hope the marketing department has something in the works. :eek:hmy:
