Had no idea of Mike Repole's deep ties with Kobe Bryant, wow.
Kobe was among the initial investors Mike's Body Armor (10%) which earned his estate $400,000,000 when it was acquired by Coke. His initial investment was $6,000,000; not bad ROI. Mike also gave David Wright some shares of his Vitamin Water which were worth $20,000,000 when Mike sold the company to Coke. Both Kobe and Mike get good paydays for their endorsements.
Mike realized the value of athletes in selling athletic related products as his new No Bull has bought in Tom Brady.
If you want to go down some wild rabbit holes, one of my friends who is a Seton Hall fan (an objective one though) told me that their message board has multiple threads going at different times about Repole. Not kidding.
He also said their obsession with Pitino is so bad that some of their more level-headed posters/fans have coined the phrase "PDS" or "Pitino Derangement Syndrome".
