Get Ready for 25-26!

Just wow! What a masterful recruiting season. Unbelievable time to be a Johnny fan! Can I get greedy and ask for a backup center?
I think we will get a back up big, we have room, so there's room, and I think we get one. Maybe a Euro, maybe a kid in the portal who hasn't panned out or had the opportunity somewhere else (a little like Zuby).

Stewart fromOhio State? 6-9 aggressive rebounder?

Need one more PG. This year, we had Smith, Richmond and Wilcher. When Smith got hurt and Richmond got into foul trouble, Wilcher could run the point. Need that insurance policy.

It will likely be Lefty then as Marillac pointed out. We’re not signing an additional 3rd string PG who will never see the floor.
So if, heaven forbid, Jackson gets injured we are left with Dylan Darling and Lefty to run our point. That’s scary.

Correct. This isn’t the NFL where we have backups on backups. We have a limited amount of scholarships and we’re already at 11, with 10 of them being rotational players. No one is going to come here as a 3rd string PG to only see the floor “in case of emergency.”

We had Smith-Richmond-Wilcher this season. When Smith was injured, we had Richmond and Wilcher to play the point. I’m just saying that Jackson-Darling-Lefty is not close to that caliber depth-wise and PG is the most important position on the team. I’m beginning to think that the staff has Fland in the plan.

Boogie is not “the plan” he’s a dream at this point.

I haven't seen Darling play. I'm betting you haven't seen Darling play. Most certainly neither of us has seen Darling play while coached by Pitino and with Zuby, Sanon, Sellers, and Hopkins as options to pass to. Maybe it would be wise to wait and see how he does before you go full Mean Gene?

You also may have missed that Liotopoulos made a lot of progress towards the end of the year, took care of the ball and did not hurt the team defensively (on a very good defensive team). Don't you think that he might make further progress going into next season?

Or, you can go cliff diving based on what may well prove to be totally unfounded concerns, up to you I guess.
