Get Ready for 25-26!

I think we are probably overly worried about the PG situation. It’s not like we have nobody. We do have Darling who isn’t a freshman and was a conference POY as a Pg. I don’t know Ian’s capabilities but I still don’t think we have much less than last year and lots of capable combos here as well.

My big question is can we get the defense playing somewhat close to the day it did last year: that’s the biggest key to winning for us. Our defense was nightmarish.

We have the athleticism to play like that again and even faster. We are longer and more athletic and if Pitino can hone them, it’s a problem for others.

Offense can and should be soo much more dangerous because of all the shooting ability we have added. Gonna be extremely hard for teams to defend our interior players with multiple deadeye shooters and scorers on the court at all times. That was our biggest weakness last year and should absolutely be a strength this year, including at the line.

Would have liked one more good PG but we are stacked everywhere else wjth experienced kids.

Let’s see what our final roster looks like in the Summer. You never know, there might be a change or two. Stranger things have happened.

I don't see how any kid with any talent wouldn't want to play for Pitino. He took an A10 player (Luis) and turned him into Big East Player of year and he took a 5 minute a game player from Kansas (Zuby) who in all likelihood may be a pre season favorite for national player of year next season.

Add New York and it’s the complete package. But we are probably biased and there are so many other factors of why kids go where and we know it starts and ends most of the time with $$$ plus there are other great coaches out there. But we have a great class coming in and other than Lee, who I would have loved to see be the PG with this team, we pretty much got the players we went hard for.
