They're not losing to Georgetown tonight, get a grip people
The same was said before the Seton hall game.

What has St johns showed you to make you think tonight is a guaranteed win?

St Johns fans are becoming delusional. I hope we win tonight but this team has showed me nothing to think this is just going to be an automatic win.

I know you have watched every game we have played... Absolutely NO Lead is safe with this group...

GTown has had some "good" stretches of play... their record is sh*t... but they are capable of winning. GTown is no DePaul.

Do I expect a 15 point win- yes... will I be shocked if they Lose... absolutely not.

Truth is Seton Hall began their comeback before the second half. I knew we were cooked going into the second half, and so did the real fans near me.

Sad and true, Pitino has shit the bed with second half adjustments. Every single team we play manages to make them. Making adjustments is a coaching concern that we should not be discussing, but here we are.

That is a bigger red flag than Pitino dragging the players in the media.
Agree on 2nd halves, disagree on adjustments. Holloway made no adjustments IMO, he kept the course, which he should have, not believing SJU would sustain the first 16 minute 1st half performance. They had already started to fold their tents at the end of the half AGAIN as is their MO.

Wilcher is our future according to CRP:

...and CRP sucks it up and takes responsibility:

“I think I’m maximizing everything we can possibly maximize, but that hasn’t been enough, so we’re still losing. That’s on me,” Pitino said. “I take losing very personally, I take losing to heart, I take losing to bed. It eats at me.

“I think we all can get better. I can get better. Everything can get better. But there’s no question about it, we could’ve won games that we lost. We’ve been competitive. I don’t give myself high grades at all because we’re losing.”

Don't know if Rick said this because he had some time to consider what he said post game or if Father Shanley had a "discussion" with him.
Either way, glad he took some responsibility.

Love hearing this about Wilcher!

I like the idea of Wilcher, Dunlap and Zuby being a solid foundation next year. As Coach has mentioned, Wilcher and Dunlap will need to bulk up during the off-season.

I love you Dave but when a team is in a free fall, they can't mail in a win. If they give the effort they gave against top big east teams, we should win- should.

Don't think that Georgetown isn't licking their chopsbat a chance to knock us off.

Oddly, even a win against Georgetown will revive hopes of salvaging a modicum of respectability at 7-9.

Disagree with most of you who want a lineup shakeup to future contributors. The goal is to do whatever we can to win as many games as possible.

I agree with this concept, but I also don't think sitting Wilcher is smart at this juncture. Its not like he's glaringly worse than a Jordan Dingle at this point. In fact, he's quicker than Dingle so maybe he could be useful. The fact that he is going to start next year and Dingle will be off playing pro ball god knows where, I want Sim in the game. a lot

I think you start prioritizing time for Wilcher and Dunlap once the % to make the tournament is 0%. Right now, believe it or not, its 25%

A SJ win tonight in a near empty arena, Marcel Marceau does the post game press conference and team members leave happy

Dunlap I couldn't care less about right now given what I have seen lately. But I actually think Wilcher can help us win games right now. The fact that playing him helps get him more experience is just a bonus to me.

Fun fact about Wilcher - despite being used sparingly, over the last 6 weeks he's 11-21 from the field. He actually has a nice touch and takes good shots when he is in.
