I didn't give him a pass. I just won't put all the blame on him for the lousy play of the players. And blamimg the coach for the lousy play of the players because he recruiting them is totally flawed.
I'll admit that I barely watched any of the second half. I'm happy for the kids as they showed resilience and won the game.
But to struggle against the Hoyas after playing like crap the other night speaks volumes. Nevertheless, I'm proud of the kids and will take any win against Georgetown.

Pathetic basketball, but happy that Storr got a big moment and delivered. Neither coach should be on the sidelines for this matchup next year.

This is the David Jones we were expecting from all the pre-season hype, not the out-of-control 3-point chucker we've seen.
Maybe so. This was not the Soriano we'd been seeing all year.
I have been asking for more minutes for both Stanley and Storr since the beginning of the season. Today I would like to add King to that group. If we are going to lose we may as well lose with young kids who listen and want to play hard.
Nor does it change anything about the players basketball acumen.

Yes, Jones has a very loose handle and a penchant for quick threes. But he was very good today. Shot 7-11 for 17 points and 7 rebounds and actually made two very big foul shots at crunch time, a rarity for our guys. I, for one, hope we get him back next year.
I understand you not giving him a pass, no one should and he doesn’t deserve it , but we barely beat one of the all time bad big east teams and on our home court. Curbelo and Jones playing out of control and playing hero ball is all on him. Poor defence is all on him. No offensive sets is all on him. Allowing a 14-0 run without call a time out is all on him. Not calling plays for Storr is on him, not pulling AC when he is out of control and giving King minutes is on him, not pulling Jones when he is out of control and playing Omar is all on him. And after having three full recruiting classes is fully and squarely on CMA.
