We knew we were going to get beaten on boards, but to be even in turnovers is a no win situation. We can beat these guys, but only if we press more and Shamorie goes off. Would help if he'd get a foul call now and then.

No way we win this game if we continue to play at their pace and are unsuccessful at keeping them off the boards even a little
Ponds wrist really bothering him. This is why I told you guys when you thought he was playin injured there was no way. When he’s hurt, he makes it so obvious, constantly shaking out his wrist
I thought I noticed that also after he hit the floor.

Can we all agree there are only 2 acceptable lineups for today's game.

Ponds, LJ, Trimble, Clark, Simon

or

Pond, LJ, Roberts, Clark, Simon.

Some how Mullin managed to get Williams, ME, Keita, Clark, and Trimble on the court at the same time :(

Defense is terrible!!!!!! We have no foul trouble and need to play the second half with extreme aggressive defense!!!!!! the shot will fall. Must pick up the pace.

If we're going to have success leading into and during the postseason, Roberts has to play more. He's our only interior player who is in position for and has a nose for rebounds.

Clark can knock down a 3, but he should not be guarding the opponents post players because he repeatedly gets beat for rebounds.

Damn how’s that shot not drop. How has Ponds not shot a free throw? Win the first 4 minutes of the second half and we are fine. Let them build it to 12-14 and we could be done.

If they stay in the zone Trimble needs to play for court spacing. The zone they are playing is not a 1-3-1 it is the Amebia defense which was played by the old UNLV mark the shark teams.

Gonna have to speed up the tempo against Xavier. Providence, DePaul and Xavier are nearly carbon-copy teams. They're big teams, but they all have problems shooting the ball and prone to turning it over (particularly, Xavier and DePaul when it comes to turnovers).

We continue to let these teams dictate tempo and play their style of ball. You gotta make 'em uncomfortable. Ponds also will be needed to contribute. Otherwise, we're likely on our way to losing this game.

I’m not as pessimistic as the a lot of you right now. Down by 8 but they’ve had a couple 3s get lucky bounces in and we’ve had a couple unfortunate bounces like that ponds shot at the buzzer.

2-3 zone seemed to give them some trouble too, maybe stick with it. We will be fine. As AMase said come out and win the first few minutes of this second half. A couple threes and this is a 2 point game

One of the pieces we lose with Heron out is a decent outside shooter . Ponds hasn’t looked good shooting ftom long range in quite a while . Curious why Clark hadn’t put himself to shoot ftom the key . Figgy’s outside shooting is hot and cold . Still in it but, need more intensity . If Ponds injured his wrist , it doesn’t bode well. Hope he can shake it off . We need a big second half from him . And , Crowd to get into it ! Shake up Xavier a bit .

Just reading the ESPN game cast from the train

How did we not have a single free throw in 1st half?

What’s happening that we’re not winning turnover battle? Are they pressing us or something?

I want to see Roberts and Simon as defensive forwards (not handling the ball). And I would like to see Ponds, LJ, and Trimble on the outside with Clark rotating in and Williams as a spot substitute. Our comeback has to start with stops and rebounds.
Ponds is banged up. His hand clearly bothering him. Saw him icing it at the timeout..
He's not taking warmups for the second half. Hand is iced.
