How is this game about the refs? They are raining 3's on us and we can't shoot. That's why we are down 14.

With Champs, it seems to me that he is guarded so closely so much. that when he gets the ball with a few feet of room he rushes the shot a little. By that I mean before the defender closes in, he seems to push the ball 1/2 way into the shot rather than letting it go further up. The push is bringing the ball too long or off course.  But I’m not a coach or expert, just looked that way last game and again today.

Why did Champy shoot the end one free throw when Coburn scored the basket?

Was wondering the same!  I thought Coburn was a good shooter.  Can’t shoot free throws apparently

so I'm only half as aggravated as the rest of you guys, but Mathis looks like the only kid who doesn't look completely rattled by Nova. Soriano looked good early. The rest of the guys look completely out of sorts

I honestly think they messed up.  I hope they don't realize it at half time and erase the point.

Coburn’s foul was on the floor. It was a separate foul the camera missed on the ensuing inbounds play + bucket.

They have a very good half court offense, which results in open looks for good shooters. We don't.

Coburns basket counted.  There was no foul on an inbounds play.  The refs must have thought champy scored and the johnnies ran with it.  I have never seen that before.

I missed most of the last 6 or7 minutes as we were eating dinner, which was fortunate. Agree with Monte that Mathis was one of few Johnnies who played well. Also Coburn had some good aggressive minutes but my God he bricked all his foul shots.   

Need to come out of the gate in second half the way we came out in the first and hope Champ & Posh can heat up. I love rooting for these kids but we can't keep giving Nova all those open corner threes.

I actually think they were playing good defense for the majority of the half but when you’re this anemic on offense eventually they’re going to break through.
