Lewis is very good but 17 pts in a half is unacceptable, but then again so often guys have career nights against us. Defensive adjustment on Lewis hopefully?

Creighton's O'Connell, but in rematch scored 5

What happened to the Coburn from a few days ago, his defense has been terrible.  I was rooting for him this game thinking he turned the corner on that end, but if his offense is off he seems to not give much effort defensively.  He's fouled a 3 point shooter and been late rotating on shooters a few times.  He's gotta give more effort than that.
This picking on guys like coburn and pinzon for defense is silly.  Champ gets routinely beat.  Mathis had guys blow by him tonight.

We havent been good on D all year.  That goes for every player outsoide of maybe posh.  Depaul almost scored 100 on us.

Let these kids play who can bring more on the offensive side of the ball.

Eleven deep in first half, not sure they can wear these guys down and wish they would shorten rotation

I don’t think we got a stop the whole time Pinzon was in.  And I like him but that makes it pretty easy to see why coach doesn’t go to him as much as some would like.
What did Mathis letting his guy go right by him have anything to do w/ Pinzon?

Nothing but there was legitimately a 3-4 minute stretch where Pinzon got beat at the top of the point leading to buckets on multiple consecutive possessions. And coburn when he was back in was the culprit himself twice. There is so much more to playing than shots going in or not. That’s why this half by wusu isn’t some incredible performance to me. Shots just went in, otherwise he was mostly the same player he has been.

I disagree Mase. Shots go in you score points and you win , shots don’t go in you lose. It’s a pretty simple game. If you don’t score you don’t win.

I don’t want to try to dumb it down to the point where it looks like we are arguing. We are not. Scoring is incredibly important. There is so much more than just the end result of a made basket is what I’m trying to get at. If wusu missed both those 3’s no one would be saying he’s playing a really good half, and I would disagree and say he’s playing exactly the same just the shots didn’t drop. You can only control what you can control, and if you’re getting beat on D on top of your shots not falling then it’s a problem.

I haven't said anything about Pinzon, his defense has been decent, he gets beat occasionally, but for the most part he hasn't been bad.  There's some that wonder why Coburn doesn't play more.  If you watch him on the defense end, it answers your question, that's not picking on anyone that's answering a question.

We can't consistently get stops.  We get to within a basket and Marquette goes on a 6-0 run.  It's like Groundhog Day.

You knew after a Mathis ridiculous force in traffic M’Q would nail a three

You could almost guarantee a missed Mathis layup equals transition hoop by opponent.
