Not able to watch the game today. Taking the auto train. Following on ESPN. Is Champ being defended well or is he just not hitting shots?

Among other things, this team desperately needs a consistenr second and third scorer after Champagnie.  I had hoped Williams could be a consistent second scorer, but he's an enigma to me.  I don't think there are any candidates for a consistent third scorer.

I would say a little of both.  He's had a couple of threes that have rimmed out but he's been defended well.

I thought Cole actually played pretty well in first half on both ends in the limited time he was in there. Would like to see more of Cole, Champ and G-Will together

No one stepping up.  They are keying on Julian

was hoping here for  a win  move to middle of the pack

I don't disagree, but Cole missed an open three early that seemed to shift momentum.  He has to hit those shots.

Monday vs. UConn now 2:30pm on FOX.

I'll say the latter.  He's had about three shots halfway down only to not go all the way down.  Unlucky rolls.

Marquette is doing a good job making it tough for him.   It's been hard for him to get looks, and the ones he has had have been a little rushed or a little out of his comfort zone.  Wojo clearly told them not to let Champ beat them.

Champ is going to have to be more aggressive putting the ball on the deck and Anderson has to do a better job of drawing up a halfcourt offense to get him looks.

I don't think drawing up half court sets is CMA's strong suit.

St. John's took 50% of their shots from beyond the arc. They connected on 25% from deep and 37% inside the arc.

I don't agree, Dink. Yes he's been just off on some shots but IMO it's because Marquette has made him uncomfortable.  That's one of the dark arts of D - just get the guy a little out of where he wants to be or when he wants to be there and the shots go from makes to "just missed it".  I think that's mostly what's going on.  The solution is Champ is going to have to be more aggressive to the hoop if no help is coming from coaching (it isn't) or the point guards (also isn't, at least not this year).

GWill and Champ need to take the ball to the rim

Moore needs to play smarter

I love Dunn, but he's just too limited offensively.

Keep Cole in the game and tell him to take 10 shots this half.  See what happens.

This is like the redmen dot com kumbaya thread today - we are all seeing/saying the same thing.
