Freudenberg

Oh well, we'll always have those two big corner threes he hit against cuse in the first half to remember him by. :)

Joins a long list of great white hopes that were signed by St. John's that fizzled more than sizzled.
Marc Antoine Bourgault, Max Hooper, Amar Alibegovic, Matt Brust, Fred Lyson.......

Matt Burst was a solid three year player for us. Not a superstar but solid. Not sure how much hope there was in Lyson who started some games and then had to quit because of a degenerative disk issue in his back. Brust was definitely more hyped as he and Shelton Jones were the top two players on Long Island their seinior year (Kenny Atkinson the Nets coach was also from that Long Island class).

But since you brought it up, do you want to add Orvis, Wolfinger, Doyle and Cavataio..
Now you are just naming names. Don't think even Heath Orvis's mother had any hope for him as a basketball player. ;) :)

I was thinking more the great European hope like Sergio Luyk or Phil Wait ;)

I would not include Sergio because De mortuis nihil nisi bonum.

Signing with Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt

Also home to Baldi's friend AJ English

Moose, how would you say that compares to D1 Big East level competition? H still may not be ready if its the same or higher.

Our D league teams would have a tough time losing to that level of "competition".

It's the highest level in Germany. But, from an American standpoint it don't seem that high, so in my opinion it probably won't be overly athletic for him like the Big East. American Players I noticed:

Jack Cooley (Notre Dame)
A.J. English (Iona)
Nick Johnson (Arizona)
D.J. Kennedy (St. John's)
Darius Miller (Kentucky)
Peyton Siva (Louisville)
Ethan Wragge (Creighton)

I don't recall Wragge or Miller off of the top of my head but DJ, English, Johnson, Siva and Cooley had pretty good college careers.

How that translates over there, I wouldn't know.
