Fox Sports 1 Considering Their Own "Big Monday"

We need all the media hype we can get after ditching ESPN. A daily Big East show would be huge. I hope SNY renews the Red Storm Report with us.

I love it too. Take ESPN head-on. Put games from Big East, Big-12 and PAC-12. Will certainly compete.

Yes. Yes. And YES! :cheer:

As per Andy Katz - "The new Big East has soccer and volleyball schedules for the fall despite not having a commissioner or staff yet. Each athletic director among the 10 was given a sport to work on scheduling along with the coaches from each school. The athletic directors are completely in the dark on the league's new commissioner; the decision is being made by the university presidents. Meanwhile, the schools are still waiting to hear from broadcast partner Fox about what nights they will typically play on during the conference season. Monday and Thursday doubleheaders are a possibility, but the use of pro arenas by Seton Hall, Providence, Villanova, Marquette, Georgetown and St. John's makes it hard to lock in just two nights per week for games."

Double header games could be fun, we can start with a 7:00 game and then have a 9:00 game if a Central Time Zone school (DePaul, Creighton, Xavier, Butler, although I think Butler is Eastern Time) is the home team.

We've played 9:00 PM games at CA against DePaul the last two years, so don't be surprised if we host games in that time slot against the Demons and/or Creighton next season. We've had late starts at MSG as well. It's all about the TV sked.

I'd like to see some later games. Don't care if they are home or away. Just tired of 9pm games getting eaten into by long running 7pm games.

It's a little selfish, but I don't mind the late games when it's a marquee opponent. If we're waiting till 9pm to play Georgetown at MSG so it can be on tv, fine. If we're playing Depaul at home at 9pm in Queens, that's annoying.

With that said, I'll go regardless of time.

They piss me off to no end! Almost as much as a loss lol.

Agree 100% Should be 2 1/2 hrs between games and if first game ends early go to a studio show.

and please, no more of those 11am games, against anyone. that was ridiculous. nothing like walking out of the Garden after that G'Town game and it being only 1pm...ugh.

Saw somewhere someone mentioned that the two fox channels will be what is now Speed and Fuel. On Bronx Cablevision, only one of those two is available in HD, the other standard. I hope both get carried in HD by the time the season starts...

11am games were a mix of both TV times we were given by ESPN and also arena issues with Knicks and Rangers.

Yes both will be HD

Hate either extreme. No need for 11:00 AM games or 9:00 PM for that matter. And bet your bottom dollar those 9:00 PM games ain't starting at 9:00

I hope Fox has a similar App to what ESPN offered. That was simply fantastic. I will really miss ESPN3.

ESPN3 is great, especially for those of us that live out of town and can't get SNY or MSG
I was able to watch every St John's BE game last year on one of the ESPN networks
I agree, Marillac, that we need a comparable Fox station in order to have the same access to conference games that we had in recent years
