Fordham, Thur. Dec. 8, 6:30pm, FS1/570AM

Not sure if this has been stated but the staff seemed more engaged last night...particularly Mitch Richmond. He was livid during some missed defensive assignments in the first half. Great to see as he can have tremendous influence over these kids. Seems like everyone, players, coaches and fans! worked real hard last night...good to see after thinking the team and future was bleak just a few short weeks ago.

Agree. Most engaged of any game all season and likely due to Mullin being so pissed from last year. He barely looked at the Fordham coach when he shook his hand.
These are the type of games we enjoy with local rivals. We need to add Iona and Hofstra into the mix with Fordham, St. Francis and L.I. U.
Staff prepared well for the Rams and don't mistake my sarcasm of them as lack of confidence. They need a couple of more talented pieces to become a consistent team against high D1 opponents. Who they sign in 2018 will determine Mullin's future success.

I was sitting right behind the Fordham bench. With a minute left in the game l yelled to their coach, "Remember what they say about payback." I don't know if he heard me but the Ram fans around me got to enjoy my serving up a s@*t sandwich.

Always figured you for a Brady Bunch fan! But why did you deprive your followers of a pix of Eve Plumb?
BTW, can I borrow that space_________thing you invented for my recaps when I want to say really really bad words like ________you, or go________yourself you_______. :p ;)

Small, small, SMALL samples but I think (hope?) the 3 and the block show Freudenberg is starting to get his sea legs.

Yes.But, Mullin needs to tell him that when he has a shot, he needs to be decisive and take the shot - regardless of the result. He passed up at least 3 shots - including a drive or two.

Believe me, Mullin tells everyone to shoot when open.

Lastly, Owens may just be one of those guys who can't add much weight, but I really enjoy his hustle, team focus & "flash plays" giving team a jolt when needed. Of course more physical teams will give him trouble perhaps, but I have feeling he will be a nice complementary piece for next three years. Initially I had some doubts, but he is evolving nicely.

He has nice form on his shot, doesn't automatically look to force it, but is decisive when he does. He can be our "foul line guy".

I had no idea that was Fun's site (probably hadn't paid any attention to any clues or if someone just came out and stated it) until I saw the Missus Fun quote. When I went to the site my first thought was ("What's up with the picture at the top) until I read about Rule No. 5. Good stuff.

Eve Plumb took that role to break out of the Brady Bunch stereotype. It was a made for tv movie, not an actual film which would have made her a candidate for an Emmy (TV) not an Oscar.

As mentioned by many, the ball movement was great last night. How good was it to watch us execute back door cuts. Made mincemeat out of the 1-3-1 zone trap. Just really a solid effort (albeit against a much lesser team but who cares, revenge is always sweet).

Anyone know why Williams didn't get in at all? Definitely didn't seem to bother him (his sideline antics after made baskets made the news this morning).

lol I liked after the made 3 made by Mosose, Williams laid down and acted like he was sleeping, like Fordham had just been put to sleep.

Portrait of a Teengage Runaway. Remember that being pretty scandalous for a Brady girl.

Sorry.. I have been out of states for a bit.. what happened to Lovett? Serious?

To be honest I've been in the country and I don't know that I've heard what exactly the injury is or how it happened either.

It was certainly Oscar worthy though. It's like I should get a Pulitzer, but I'm not eligible.

On the Fordham fans forum, there was some grumbling about our pouring it on and embarrassing them. But a number of posters came to our defense, saying it was perfectly fine, given the how the Rams poured it on in last year's game, and that it was hypocritical to condemn us for retaliating.

Mullin is installing a style of play and you just can't create the proper flow telling guys not to shoot; not saying AA and others take all good shots but that is something it appears the team is learning. To clarify, does AA take bad shots / attempt dopey drives, for sure. But he is what he is and even with Sima leaving I think eventually Freudenberg will take many of AA's minutes; IMO, get ready for small ball as the season goes on.

In this transitional year, small ball with our personnel is a "better watch" for sure. Looking forward to it, despite the interior depth issue.

One thing that is apparent is that both Ponds and LoVett are exceptional rebounders for their size, both have a nose for the ball which surely helps. I think we will see more and more 3 guard configurations and more Freudenberg as the season plays out. Obviously need to get LoVett back but Mullin and co. are playing it very right not rushing him back.

Wish there was a 5th year transfer still available that is a big wide body.
Even a 2 star kid. Forget scoring and handling the rock.

say a 6-9 260 type. Just be a man, use your weight and strenght and avg atleast 8 boards per game.
