Fordham (MSG), Sat., Dec. 16, 3:30p, FS1

I’m not so sure his offense will come around. He and Jenkins just don’t fit together. Maybe bring him off the bench with Alleyne and Wilcher.
You're hysterical. Wilcher over Jenkins? I guess Wilcher's performance today must have really impressed you to continue your fantasy that Wilcher deserves starters minutes.😉 I certainly agree that Alleyne should play more.....and he will, but minutes distribution may change more radically if RJ Luis returns. Taylor’s offense is lagging at present and RJ is quite capable of playing the 2 or 3 when he returns.
Pay more attention to the number of assists that Daniss hands out and the number of FG Wilcher has been missing.

Disappointed in how our freshman are not really showing much improvement in games like this 10 games into season.. Granted they are freshman, but nothing yet would scream to me these guys were ~#30 and ~ #75.

Exactly, I can’t believe they were high rated 4 star players. If you look at some of the other 4 star rated athletes around college hoops, they may not contribute much in big games but against teams the level of Fordham, they usually stand out somewhat.

Last year our own AJ Storr looked far more prepared and contributed nicely in games. Even when barely used early on by Coach Anderson, you could see he was a player.

I believe Coach Pitino better find himself another PG in the portal till Wlilcher comes along (if ever).

Look a little closer…I wrote that Dingle should come off the bench with Wilcher.

Jenkins and Dingle don’t seem to mix well and they both get beat off the bounce almost every play.

There’s only one basketball and Jenkins just wants to play two man ball with Soriano…so what’s the point of having Dingle out there with his poor defense?

I think that’s a little premature. Wilcher is going to be 10x the lead guard Jenkins is this year. He’s already doing things that Jenkins doesn’t, like setting up shooters.

I’m slightly disappointed with where he’s at, but I didn’t expect much year one.

I would definitely be looking to add a small veteran PG in the portal to play 15-20 minutes a game next year to help him out.

Got the lead and never in doubt after the first 5 minutes. That's the good. The team still looks excellent at times and indifferent to awful at other times. Allowed too much guard penetration, leading to fouling too much. The only efficient players on the team are Soriano and Taylor. just re-watched the 1999 NCAA round 2 game in where SJU dominated a good Indiana team. Watching Barkley play the point makes me yearn for those days and that team.

It was only one game, but Luis looked like the most talented player on the roster. We need him healthy and at full strength to compete in the Big East. Without him, it's hard to be bullish on our NCAA chances.

CRP: “From an offensive standpoint, we wanted to get Sean [Conway] in there because Sean moves without the basketball so well. We know [Fordham plays] about four or five different defenses and knew Sean would move. He also gets loose balls, he also gets on the glass, and we just needed more out of that position, and he gave it to us.”

This does not seem like a subtle statement at all to the former incumbent at shooting guard at all….
