(EXHIBITION) Towson, Sat., Oct. 26, 12 Noon, N/A

This is what's left. I think he meant to tweet 526 left, and for some reason, got auto-corrected to 526 tickets out. Why? I don't know, but this sure doesn't look like an empty building, to me. Unless they just haven't bothered with the $10 seats, which I guess is possible.

called the Ticket office to make sure i can purchase at the window - they confirmed that they are trying to sell lower bowl tickets... the upper sections are free (10$/ 5$) tickets available at gametime.

"Out" is a common ticket term. Not everyone shows so they say X amount of tickets are 'Out'.

Again understanding there is a charitable element here but SJU should have included in STH plans. Either bump the $ for STH or just write a check from the University as a donation. But why try to rationalize this.

With basically every pro sports team playing this week (including the Mets and Yankees, even the WNBA team won the championship yesterday) this is always going to be tough for the school, especially when we haven't been to the "real" Tournament in over 9 years. Complete opposite of places like Dayton or Lexington where there's zero competition.

That said, 500+ is still a rough number, but I'm unsure how it compares to previous years. From what I remember there weren't many people at our Pace exhibition last year, right?

I thought I had read Pace was part of the season ticket package, but could be wrong.

Just think if STJ is going to sell a scrimmage game (even for charity), it has to be a high major opponent.

saw in the other thread that Dayton at 13k at their exhibition game vs X.... granted that game would draw anytime of the year in Ohio... but wow.

500 tickets lol... gonna be a morgue...
Last year in Charleston it was like when the Yankees played the Orioles in Camden Yards when the O's still sucked. Dayton fans basically took over the town for two days. It was crazy.

Dayton has great fans, obviously travel well. They were great sportsmen as a group, knowledgeable and respectful
IMO they would be a great addition to the Big East.

I am likely wrong but:

There a difference between people in ticket sales and the people who fulfill ticket orders. On the ticket sales side:

1) This should have been listed and offered as part of the season ticket order renewal. To check a box $20 for charity my guess is 80% would buy.

2) emails to season ticket holder re the exhibition game w a link to tickets.

3) Instead of a whiney X msg about lack of ticket sales for an exhibition, what about a blitz on facebook, instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, etc.

All i do know is i get a ton of sju emails but dont recall anything about this game.

SJU CRM is a mess.

I'm a double grad and there are emails I get and others I've never received. Does SJU have a CMO? Do colleges? Legit don't know but couldnt hurt?

I received an email from Stephen Dombroski on 9/20, a message from Alumni on 9/26 about StormFest referencing the game, a message from Red Storm Sports on 10/7, 10/11, 10/16 and several others. I also recall seeing notices on several social media sites as well. 🤷‍♂️
