Early Bracketology...

I haven't paid too much attention to Creighton incoming players, but didn't they lose Kaluma & Nembhard?
I think Nembhard went to Gonzaga. I thought that was strange since he played a big role at Creighton. Of course college “free agency” is real.

Goodman & Dauster both said on there podcast they have St. John's ranked in there pre-season top 25 right at 25.....Basically saying Dingle puts this roster over and with Rick at helm they get one of the last spots.

Agree, Hart's a very good pickup as well. But Whitmore, Slater and Daniels are gone, Dixon and Moore are the only guys of note returning and their recruiting class is one unranked player. But if Moore is fully recovered by next season he's a problem.
Isn’t Armstrong alsoback?
ESPN way too early top 25
3. Marquette
5. Uconn
16 Creighton
30 St John’s !

Boise State #29

Yeah but if Kalkbrenner and Trey Alexander return alongside Schiermann they're still strong. Bringing in a sharpshooting PG from Utah St and a S from Memphis plus a SF from Memphis and one of those typical Nebraska bigs who RS this year at UVA. McDermott can put together a team. Kaluma is also not definite to transfer or stay in the draft. He seems to be testing all the waters. Might hve been better off going pro last year after his breakout tournament play.

Insane. Last year we were in the bottom of the big East and couldn't get a sniff from the NIT. Few months later we are Now in the talks of NCAA tourney team. This team going to be exciting. We got shooter we got height we got our captain. Don't remember last time we truly had Real expectations of our team that wasn't a pipe dream

25-30 ranking seems fair. I think we are very safely on the right side of the bubble.

On paper it’s not a crazy roster but the overall experience and FT shooting may significantly raise the ceiling if a couple of forwards really step up.
With Rick he will elevate them he always does. This is exciting for once in 20 years outside of Lopez years and lavins tourny team we are finally relevant without even playing a game yet

Agree. 1 definite All BE player, 1 high impact potential All BE 2nd team transfer, lots of competition between a range of guys with experience, maturity, and I assume an ear for coaching, given what RP is looking for, have me thinking this team will be more about the sum of its parts and the operator of the machinery than the quality of the individual parts. It's almost like it's October already when I am always standing on the side of positivity for at least 3 games. I anticipate it lasting longer next season.

I think we have the ingredients to do very well this season.

First it starts with the head coach who is a legend. Nobody has any question whether he knows the game, X’s and O’s Nor any of that. He’s got all of it.

Second we have great players at key spots. We have one of college ball’s best centers which is rather rare, though quite a few good bigs out there this year. We also have Dingle who is a very expenrienced scoring Pg. I say PG because I have no doubt that is where Pitino will have him playing. He can definitely play the position and the ball will be in his hands a lot.

Third is that we have no lack of either size, depth, shooting nor athleticism. Lots of new guys but all of them come with a lot to offer. We don’t have any major weak points I can see right now except maybe a “true” Pg which I’m not sure we need.

Gonna be a fun year.
