Dwayne Morgan Visiting SJU

What a revolting development this is. Always a player short.

There is no development . Visit is still tentatively on .

Not being a twitter person(twit?), if it has been confirmed that Matt stopped following him that would seem to me to qualify as a development. I can't remember a time when Matt has ever stopped following a kid and the kid then commited to us.

Just a somewhat related comment; Matt obviously targets, recruits & helps Mullin close on all of our recruits & transfers. I hope St. Jean, as he gains recruiting experience, can help balance that out. Most successful teams have a prime recruiter, as well as a secondary guy, who gets his fair share of kids. It will be interesting to see if Greg lands any of his targets, Jordan Brown, Joe Girard, etc. to get the ball rolling.

It would be nice to see Mitch involved w recruiting.... Regarding Morgan, even if he doesn't graduate, he should be eligible next year w 2 full years of elegibility. Seems worth pursuing IMO.

No inside info here but Girard just looks like a Beilein type of recruit to me

Regarding recruitment yes the staff seems to be working hard and yes it is tough getting high quality players but if your selling insurance for a living and you work hard month after month but you do not close enough sales to make a good living or show your CO, a profit You know what your boss will say Hope to see a domino effect and verbal coming soon. We are involved wit many players

What if there are better insurance companies out there, though? It might be hard for even the best salesman to make a dent.

Gotta embrace your inner gecko. And remember that everyone can get ice cream, but sprinkles are for winners

Your comment would have some merit if our roster looked like it did the day Mullin and co. took the job. If the only criteria is that a coach fails if he doesn't get EVERY player he talks to, well...........................................

GUESS winning will be the criteria verdict not out yet until season end.I stand behind the staff and players guess I am looking for big results too soon

That's the ultimate criteria. Look at Gonzaga. They do not have Kentucky like recruits. But they win.

Gonzaga signs almost exclusively 4 star kids. Only exception in the past 4 classes is a 6'11" kid from Denmark who redshirted last year. And then they thrive in the 4-5 star transfer market. Only a few have Duke/Kentucky level talent but Gonzaga is right there in the second tier.

Sounds good to me.

Figured I would ask again as his visit was scheduled for this weekend. I assume it's unlikely since it's been radio silence.

Found this on Zachs twitter responding to someone who asked him if he's coming

Maybe there isn't an answer at the moment? Lol

Maybe no one at home at St. John's to answer the question since our only recruiter is visiting Song Young in Europe.
