Dribble for the Cure

Will be very surprised if Cosch Tartamella does the full walk as he tore his Achilles Tendon over the summer and required surgery. He is still in pain and walking lengthy distances is a problem for him.

Huh?
I think he was implying that this is an event to be at PR wise and just because its a great event from the people who have gone

Zach B at event noted
St Johns first practice is Wednesday. Team is training with Navy Seals Monday and Tuesday. Did it last year as well #sjubb

“There’s no ifs, ands or butts -- no excuses -- [we have to win]” Marvin Clark II #sjubb

Shamorie Ponds on LJ Figueroa: "He does everything for for our team. He can do it all, inside-out." #sjubb

Shamorie Ponds: “I kind of felt like a lot of people already know what I’m capable of. I’m trying to make my teammates better. I just want to win – whatever it takes to win. We know the talent we have. If we put the work in, we can go very, very far.” #sjubb

More Zach
St. John's has already heard from a ton of NBA scouts about attending practices, by far most since Chris Mullin's first season -- when they were coming to see him

Was told Bryan Trimble Jr. has lost close to 20 pounds. Looked noticeably leaner. #sjubb

Great pics of this event, and cool comments by Zach B. Thanks Paultz.
Very interesting that Figgy is noted by seasoned observers as standing out in workouts and now by Ponds himself.
This team, with Ponds, Simon, Clark, Heron, Figueroa, Keita, Dixon, Trimble, Williams, is loaded with talent, and with focus and hard work (as Clark and Ponds say) should go ‘very, very far’.
This could be the most exciting St. John’s Men’s Basketball season in decades.
Louie’s presence makes me smile.
Hopefully, he’s bursting with pride at season’s-end.

Great to see Louie! I know it's probably not easy at his age to get out there. It's just impressive that, after all these years, he still make St. John's and these events a priority. He is still contributing!

Of course, I have no doubt Chris and Mitch send their regards.

You made me laugh. Thanks JohnnyFan.
Yes, Louie is a prize. The man ‘bleeds’ Johnny Pride.

Just great stuff - so much to look forward to in 2018-2019!

Who wants to take a shot at guessing date MH eligibility is ruled on? I'll say 10/1.

That’s a Monday. First day of the work week; good guess.
I’ll say 10/10, my daughter’s B* Day.
And this Board would be on the edge of ‘panic/angst’ if we haven’t heard by then.

I was going to guess ruling would come on Mustapha's birthday; but when I saw it was 12/12, thought better of it...

Lol! Good decision to ‘not’!
Greg did attend, but was only coach there today.
A bunch of kids were very disappointed. Neither Mullin nor Richmond made an appearance. I'm not going to claim to know the reason but a high school coach there thought it was inexplicable. None of the younger kids knew who Louie was but it was great seeing him. Coach T lead the walk. Inside Carnesecca Arena afterwards team donation amounts were announced and the entire redmen team introduced themselves. Only coach T was there. Matt was out of town but the whereabouts of M&M were a closely guarded secret. Mikey Dixon said he "thought" he saw Mullin this morning. Not sure what was going on with the DfC but it was a low turnout this year. I have pictures on my iPhone but can't seem to load to redmen.com. Any suggestions are appreciated.
