DJ Kennedy to the Cavs

Another Roberts recruit playing for pay. There are quite a few really. Too bad he couldn't coach.

Had Roberts coached them last season, not as many opportunities would exist for those guys....

I disagree with this post. Lavin obviously did a great job with the team in 2011 but lavin had little to do with dj making the league. If anything djs reduced role during his senior year -- while better for the team -- hurt his nba prospects. In any event, in light of his knee injury, the only chance he had to make the nba was to impress in the d-league. He apparently has done that.

I didn't realize DJ was playing that much PG in the D-League. Just another example of his versatility. Has a great variety of skills that I think any NBA could use. I dont ever see him scoring even 15 ppg in NBA, but that's not his strength. He does so many other things well. Congrats DJ, best of luck.

following cavs gamr on computer. In just 3 minutes of play Kennedy has 3 pts, 3 rebs, and 2 assists

that's great. he's scored points in the NBA - a fantastic achievement. Congrats to him and hopefully he'll get many many points.

He just made his 2nd 3-pointer and 2 pointer... he's 3 for 4 from the field now with 8 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 18 minutes...

great showing by DJ really happy for him played his heart out for us for 4 years only to get hurt right before his first NCAA tournament game . Great story how he continued to work hard and made it to the NBA GO DJ!!

4 for 5 from the field, 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 turnovers 4 personal fouls in 21 minutes... pretty darn good for your first nba game.
