and again, but he's worthy of it---A 100% TEAM PLAYER!!!Would take both kids back in a heartbeat.
I feel like Ledlum was a much better shooter than he showed and Dingle had a rough chemistry situation.
Ledlum my top choice for PF this coming season at this point. Great kid, smart, hustler and rebounder with range. I don’t care he’s undersized, he’s a stretch 4 and can hit shots and also the glass.Would take both kids back in a heartbeat.

If that’s the case perhaps we’ll get something by end of next week before the long weekendJudge is aware of the key May 29th date for withdrawal from NBA draft which will affect roster decisions and is trying to make a decision with enough time before that date in fairness to all parties.
Interesting. Some interesting quotes from Dingle's affadavit yesterday...
"I did not enter the transfer portal because I know if I am eligible to play another year
of college basketball, I only want to play at St. John’s for Coach Pitino and his staff.
However, the scholarships are going fast. St. John’s recently gave scholarships to two
players (both of which will be playing in their fifth seasons) last week. There is only one scholarship
left for the St. John’s men’s basketball team.
However, I was told by my coaches that if I was eligible to play in 2024—2025 today,
I would be offered that scholarship. I am told that scholarship is currently still available (which is also
while my motion is pending), but also know that the staff needs to continue recruiting as well. "
And Masiello's....

Jordan to date because there is uncertainty with his eligibility status. It is possible that another
potential student athlete takes the last available scholarship prior to Jordan obtaining eligibility.
Chris Ledlum would have been offered a scholarship after the 2023—2024
basketball season concluded if he had eligibility at that time. Unfortunately, given how quickly
recruiting moves, we had to offer the scholarships to other student-athletes.
In any event, Chris Ledlum, although in the transfer portal, remains someone St.
John’s is recruiting and would like on the roster for the 2024-2025 season.
Based on his talent level, experience and skill set, Chris would certainly be a
contributor on our team for 2024-2025"
Not an unreasonable concernWould love Dingle back, but if he does return is anyone else worried that Glover might try and bounce?
Thought this might happen following the Kadary announcement.... even more so if Dingle comes back...Would love Dingle back, but if he does return is anyone else worried that Glover might try and bounce?
In the age of the NIL, unless you're a 5* top 10 freshman coming out of high school, you shouldn't be expecting big NIL money and lots of playing time...........Not happening with all these transfers.Thought this might happen following the Kadary announcement.... even more so if Dingle comes back...
With Rick's short window... 1 more yr of Dingle vs development of Glover (2-3 yr timeline? if he stays?)..... think you gotta take the sure thing in knowing what Dingle brings...
(obviously retaining both would be ideal)
We should always be concerned in this era, but I think Coach can point to the significant departing talent after the season and give him the “keys to the car” vision he gave Sim and Brady.Would love Dingle back, but if he does return is anyone else worried that Glover might try and bounce?

Glover is more ready to contribute physically than Sim and Brady — who both looked like children.I hear that, but a frustrated 18-year-old kid may say to himself “I’m going to get no minutes this year, who’s to say they don’t bring in a bunch of transfers in the portal again next year? I’m out.”
We’ll see how it all plays out, no point in over speculating until we get the ruling.

If* dingle returns- i can see a Starting lineup of Smith/Jordan/Kadary/Luis/Zuby... I know not the "standard" two big bodies out there... but the Kadary pick up really gives us lineup flexibility... think we see a lot of "3/4 guard" line-ups with him out there...While Ledlum might be a fit for our team, I wonder about Dingle wanting to return. Looking at the portal additions, he may see the minutes declining and be a detriment to his future plans of playing.
the goal was always to get a decision well before the 5/29 date...lawyers have made it clear why that date is important and the judge is aware. All written arguments are in and now it's in her hands. Fingers crossedAwww no updates on case yet today
