I would not put Jakarr in the negative category.

That's first game jitters if I've vet seen it. Tons of expectations heaped on that young man. Glad Lavin pulled the plug and finally sat him. He'll be better for it.

Anyway, 1-0!!!
 
A midst all those scoundrels complaining during the 1st half, I knew/ said we would comeback. I also said Harrison should come off the bench for instant offense. I doubt it sticks but IMO he is even more vital coming off the bench

Loved what I saw from Obekpa, Greene, Garrett and Harrison...Jakarr really had a rough first game but he will learn from this and be better because of it

Agree.... I also wouldn't put him in the negative. He seemed to be pressing, and trying to prove himself. He's still a bit raw, but the tools are certainly there. I think we'll see a different player, than what we saw today, as the season wears on.

Nice come from behind win against a really good . This young team needed this win Sampson needs some games under his belt Coach will get him on his game My hats off to the team do not under estimate this win it was huge
 
That's what coaching is all about. After first half, the team looked lost at sea. Finding the right combo and d made all the difference in the world. I'm sure Jakarr will improve. Just has to settle down.
 
1st half & 2nd half were like night and day. So many good things to come out of this game. I think first and foremost it is Obekpa as a true freshman to play like that. He did miss a ton of box outs though.

Harrison I am proud of. 1st half it looked as if he was fed up. Idk what lavin told him at the half but he absolutely took over that game both offensively and defensively.

Awesome win & a great start!
 
We will make this a game in the 2nd half. Space the floor for DLo and crash the offensive glass(not how Sampson has been doing which is jumping for a dunk from 8 feet out and exposing us to fast break)

WOW I'm exhausted from screaming at the tv. What a win, hats off to Harrison the kid made all the key plays. He's a winner.

Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely not! We lack offensive players; not like we have many shooters on this team. He has to be our shooting guard. Could you imagine what would happen to his confidence coming off the bench plus it wouldn't take him long to look to transfer.

I know when I get home this evening, I'll be fast forwarding the DVR right to the second half and spare myself a lot of agita.
 
Hilarious to read the before and afters in this thread. Not even a full game in (when we looked putrid) and folks were claiming that Sky is Falling mentality, sheesh!

Great come from behind win, team is still very young.

Obekpa is a savage.

Was very impressed with Greene's improvement from last season, he took and hit those jumpers with confidence.

Harrison came on like we needed him to.

Jakarr was extremely jittery, he'll settle in.

I agree w the above and based on this game and the exhibition those 4 should be playing starter minutes.DLo was his old self in the 2nd half. CO played unbelievable for his first game ,he will only get better Green and DLO should make a nice backcourt .Amir has showed he should get the nod over Dom IMO. Sampson was dissapointing, but I ll chalk it up to first game jitters, he will come around. Jones was good in fg % but did not get the job done w rebounds. Overall a nice W for a young team .
