I just told Nathalie " Babe lets go out the 15th instead that way I can see the st johns game and we can spend a long quality dinner on the 15th ". She said " go F yourself "
Treat her for a trip to Chicago. 🙂

Heck.. NC Johnnie & I ended up having Pre-Valentine's day dinners with our wife's at same restaurant but different times. He was on way out as we were being seated.

Will be on couch Tues @ 9 !! Lol
I was originally planning to be in NYC for todays game but couldn’t convince the bride and gave up trying as we got stinkier and stinkier. Just shows that you should never give in to the wife, lesson learned.

I dare one person to tell their wives they have to get home by 9 on valentines day to watch this game. I want a game time roll call thread of who survived that convo
Going out on Valentine’s Day is akin to going out on New Years Eve.

Amateur night.

Crowded restaurants with prix fixe menus that hardly consist of full dinner portions.

Roses that are obscenely marked up, even during these days of inflation.

Jewelry that the sales person unabashedly claim to make her day (which really means jewelers are pushing the unwanted items because your forgetful *ss waited until 5:30pm on Valentine’s Day).

Besides, St. Valentine has no significance to me. My Saint day falls on August 15. If the wife wants to go out and spend money on me that day, she naturally has my blessings.

My wife rather be watching the game then in some crowded restaurant anyway. In fact we are geared up for a doubleheader that night as Syracuse/NC State starts at 7:00 (my son is a student at State.)

NC State having a pretty nice year IDRAFT; have to think they can make the dance if they finish well.

You guys need to man up. I'll be dvring the Bayern Munich vs. PSG Champions League game which I plan to watch at around 6, the wife will have dinner ready at about 8, then I'll settle in to watch the DePaul game. At half time of the Depaul game she'll get me a generous pour of GlenDronach 15 yr. old which I will savor while we roll to victory, or drown my sorrows while we implode. That's how I'll celebrate St. Valentine's day.

Spoiler alert: watch the obituaries in Newsday on Thursday. :) ;)

I like it. This has a Ralph Kramden king of the castle vibe to it. 😀
