DePaul, Sat. Jan. 6, 2p, YES (FOX) /Radio 570AM or 970AM

Just curious. Did the team come home from Omaha last night? Because if they didn't then they probably won't get home until late tomorrow, making this feel like another road game.

I also wonder what Depaul's travel plans are.

Blue Demons have played some good teams very tough. Not the automatic win they've been in recent years.

No automatic wins, but if we play with the same level of effort as we have the last two games, then I can't see us losing this one.

We don't know specifically what if any damage he (Lovett) sustained with his knee injury. If it were made public we all could understand his situation and the length of time that would be involved with his therapy Otherwise, we will be second guessing the amt of games he will need to be 100%,Could stop a lot of the posts regarding this topic,

These next two games will pretty much tell us how the rest of our season will go. The bottom line is that we must win our next two games , get healthy, and then find a way to win two of the six games we have left against Villanova, Xavier, Seton Hall and Duke. Then, looking at the schedule, we can go on a nice run the last six games of the season carrying us in to the Big East Tournament where I truly believe that if we are healthy we can make a nice run and maybe get to the championship game if everything breaks right with match ups and one of the big 3 goes down.

A loss to DePaul would equate to;

Watch out for the young kid, Roberts. He is a speedster, Ponds better not play ole defense against him. And their best player, Strus is the real deal, recruited by the way by Xavier and Butler.

This is a game we have to be able to win comfortably with or without Marcus. Would love to see us be able to get Yakwe & Trimble some minutes and confidence today. Even when Marcus returns, we need Yakwe to be a contributor off the bench for us to compete for a post season berth of any kind. As others have said, Trimble is being forced to play more minutes than he is ready for, but if his shot starts to fall, it may make a world of difference for him in other aspects. Let's support these guys.

This game is becoming a disaster. Why do these always have to try and make the great pass , the flashy play or the impossible move instead of just playing sound textbook basketball. They’ve already given away four possessions

Seven minutes left in first half and DePaul hasn't committed a foul. Says something about how SJU is not taking it to the basket! Embarrassing.

42-36 DePaul , this team is lost on the defensive end when it comes to defending the three and no one blocks out. DePaul has 12 second chance points
