Delaware Associate Head Coach is Bill Phillips.

Bill Phillips is the son of Bill Phillips, who played at SJU in the 70s with Mel Davis and Bill Schaeffer.

Yeah. I don't really know what happened but Alabama is playing South Dakota St on 12/29 at home. I mention them specifically since Pitino literally said we were playing them this year but it was a "matter of finding the right dates". It's that exact article that makes me so bitter about this schedule. lol.

“We’ll probably have a non-conference schedule that’s the best in St. John’s history,” Pitino said in reference to the 2024-25 non-conference slate. “It takes a year to build a schedule like that.”

Thankfully, I've gotten more fluent in "rickspeak" since then.

I do understand its an awkward time to schedule a game between Christmas and New Year's.
