Dartmouth

Hard to believe but our athletic brothers having a tough time keeping up with five snowflakes from New Hampshire.

Because our coach is horrible. If we pressed this team for 40 minutes we would win this game by 30 points. We turn into mummies when we play in the half court.

Four guys stand around on offense......lazy effen players!
No set plays ever run! make it up as you go!!!
Thee offensive plays where Greene ran down court and no one else touched the ball before he took the shot.

If this is what our 1/2 court offense is, I can't understand why we don't just say the hell with it, press and run w/ Rysheed having the ball in his hands. 30 minutes a night.. at the expense of Branch.. I don't see what he brings to the table. We are 0-5...Let's run and have some fun.

Sanchez has to stop thinking he's Magic Johnson. This guy makes some dumb plays, crazy passes.

I stood watching the game behind the last row and it was obvious there were many groups of a few adults and 6 or 8 kids between 8 and 14. Both upper decks were close to full. I'll assume they didn't pay full price but they purchased refreshments and cheered for SJU. So much better than empty seats.

Just got home. Great crowd - the place was nearly filled to the rafters. A fair amount of freebies. Dartmouth doesn't make many mistakes, has very small guards, but they can shoot pretty well. Agree this was a non competitive game, but kind of like a scrimmage, our guys had to get some run, and get a very much needed W under any circumstance. Lavin played who should be playing, so hopefully the rotation will begin to gel soon.

Seton Hall is winnable, as we know, but won't be easy. Nothing in the Big East will be easy this season

We don't run and press because we are the slowest athletic team in America and are poor defenders who would foul out 3 to 4 players a game.
How do you play Obekpa when he fouls out against a Dartmouth?? His minutes are rightfully going to GG.

I don't believe we are slow..at all. Sometimes too fast for our own good.. Sanchez , Obekpa, and Jordan, to an extent, need to stop committing bad fouls .

I didn't pay attention in the first half, but in the second half the starting five played as a unit for 3:45. I am sorry but the starting five should be on the floor together for 10 to 12 minutes per half as a minimum. No set starters and no set rotation, that's why they look lost because Lavin builds no chemistry.

They needed a weak opponent so they could be reminded what it's like to finish and win a game.
Hopefully this starts a big run.

Our team has not shown any suggestion that they can compete at a high level for an entire game. Not one game folks.

Unless Lavin has some magic pills why should we expect any different future results? We will be lucky to win 6 games in the Big East this year which amazingly would be worse than last year. So who would be to blame? Perhaps its a combination of the competition getting better and our team not improving.

Might as well wait until the next loss to keep complaining.. Everyone knows what has already happened. Can't change that. Let's see what happens against the Hall.

Without Syracuse, Uconn, Louisville, Pitt, Cincy, West Virginia and Notre Dame we are still last in the Big East. No hiding that big fat wart. Luckily, in this diluted league, there is a lot of parity and, except for Villanova, we should be competitive with every team. Problem is we are a lousy passing team with unstructured offensive sets. The rolls are all poorly defined, especially with players like Sampson and Sanchez. These two guys should be dominating inside but force it from the outside.

Glad we got the win despite how uneven we were in the first half. I would only trust Greene in catch and shoot situations, not running the offense. He heat checked a few times. It didn't burn us this game but will against more serious teams. Nice energy by Sanchez tonight. Lavin should have left the starting five out there longer. We were doing well... Next... The hall
