What an odd comment. Why? Williams appeared to always give 100% and by all accounts he had a terrific attitude. He was also by far our best low post player despite limited athleticism.

Really nice kid from what I understand, and has had a ton of surgeries. To burn a roster spot is a risk because he is sort of the Steven Matz of college basketball players. At some point he is going to be injured again.

Better to leave that roster spot empty? It's not burning it if it is obvious, which it is, that there won't be 13 scholarship players on the bench next year?
