Dan Hurley Headed to URI

I think it's a good move for him. He kind of had to do it since it's not like he has made any big money anywhere before this.  4 mill is a big deal when you are almost 40.

You can be hot one day and not the next in coaching as we have seen.

But it does suck for the kids who committed. Hopefully Wagner hires a good one.

Surprised I haven't heard Ferry from LIU's name pop up for anything

Totally agree with you. Danny Hurley has been working at his craft for a long time and is finally reaping the rewards. It is almost impossible to turn down this type of money. Danny has a family and as you stated, he has never really made "Big money", now the opportunity was there and he took it. I doubt if any of us would have turned down a 400% raise. It is hard on the kids that he recruited but hopefully Wagner will make a good hire. I would go for Darren Savino.

Also look at it from this perspective -- he went 25-6 at Wagner and didn't get an NCAA or NIT invite.

At that point you have to wonder what you need to do to be rewarded for a season like that and it obviously isn't going to come there.
