Jesus! Sounds pretty hopeless absent serious psychological counseling.Curbelo booted off the PR national team- he and Pinzon at blows well after they are both long gone from campus. Lord knows what the lockeroom culture was like last season, the irony is unreal:

“I got by on talent. That was my fatal mistake.”Basketball has had legions of players who had enormous talent but personal issues that prevented them from having great careers. Curbelo, incredibly, will still get another shot in college. Jay Ladner at Southern Miss should demand Andre gets some counseling at the very least. Should be on a very short leash.
Curbelo just blew a gigantic shot of putting the sju stuff in the rear view mirror and playing some serious basketball. For a few hours he appeared to be doing just that. "Now what" could be his middle name.
Talent > issues = another shot
Takent <= issues = Andre who?
Sad to see such a waste of talent that many players would die for.
That's a great quote, Logen. I'm a big Pete Maravich fan. He was perhaps the most skilled player ever.“I got by on talent. That was my fatal mistake.”
- Pete Maravich
I would think I have posted this quote here before but it was a big part of the first meeting I had with any team, any sport, that I coached.
Prescribing without an accurate diagnosis usually does not work.Sounds like a kid who would have benefited from the John Lucas summer program that DeLo benefitted from, but that would only work if he realized he had a problem.
Wondering if Southern Miss looking for an out rather than infecting their team with a cancer.
