I believe they beat Kansas in Boo's senior year, on one of his three buzzer-beaters that season. THAT was an excellent team - Boo, Jayson Williams, Sealy, Werdann, Buchanan, Singleton etc. If Williams doesn't get hurt late in the year, that team could have gone a long way.

You're thinking about DePaul. We lost to Kansas the following game. It (the loss to KU) was in the Preseason NIT Championship. Thanksgiving weekend of 1989.

Yep. We lost to Kansas in Kansas in early December and then played 'em again in the Holiday Festival Championship game in late December in which the Johnnies won.

Yes! Also should have beaten Duke in the second round of the tourney that year. We blew a lead and imploded late as I recall.
