Missed free throws are a SJU tradition these past 20 years. Our 2 best foul shooters miss 3 down stretch.
 
Owens blatantly fouled on rebound (no call). Our best foul shooter misses key 1 and 1 with chance to time. We have great talent and play great defense; offense is really discombobulated.
 
This is what happens when you stop playing defense for a six minute stretch in a game.
 
We need Lovett back , he’s a very good on ball defender and could have provided offense when Ponds disappeared.
 
I'm furious. This is a game we gave away, yet still had a chance to steal. Shamorie and Marvin can't miss those free throws. Wish they gave us that goal tending call on Simon's lay up. The game was given away by playing Amar extended minutes. Why was he in the game, why!?????? This game is on Mullin. Horrendous second half rotations.
 
Up 10 points and we throw one three pointer after another, keeping Ponds and Ahmad out of the offense. Still waiting for Mullin to call a timeout. I have to agree that Ponds was passive as mentioned by one of the announcers. Finally after trailing we start to drive to the basket. Nothing from our horrible bench. Ali still can't play defense or shoot, and Yakwe's lack of playing time tonight says it all.
 
My takeaway is that Amar brings nothing to the table. He used to be tolerable because he may hit a shot or 2but he bricks wide open 3s. It’s really pathetic. We are severely undermanned, there is no one else on that bench that can give quality minutes. Trimble can’t shoot all of a sudden and is slow on rotations. Yak we is a run killer and mister butterfingers, We are in a really tough spot. I don’t see us digging out of this, we will compete in many of the league games but just come up short because that’s what we do, pissed
