@Creighton, Wed., Jan. 25, 9p, CBSSN

when posters who tend to be negative get quiet after the UConn win it gets called out, but then there's some posters with more positive views on the program who go quiet after that ugly nova loss

Maybe we should all just agree to be miserable together.

Onto Creighton
There are Anderson apologists that have been absent for the last 6 or 7 games.

SJU money line gonna be juicy for this one. It would be so St Johns to win @Uconn and @Creighton (which during OOC sounded like a winning lottery ticket) and have it not impact our bubble chances in any real way
You really cant compare the two teams. UConn was on a downswing losing 4 of their last 5 before the Johnnies beat them. Creighton is currently doing well.

I am thinking of taking gtown money line tonight at home as a small dog to depaul. Think depaul is the recipe for gtown fist win in big east.
Matchup predictor likes Georgetown in this one, 54.1%.

Of course, they've been way off on our last two games, so anything's possible.

But you said UConn was gonna slaughter the Johnnies prior to the game, right?

Actually, I can only think of two posters who are "fiercely" backing Anderson (yes, they've been both absent). I'm fairly positive those two posters are either relatives, friends, or simply rather fond of Anderson due to being in or around his presence (which if so, I can understand their vigorous backing of him).

I presume we are all backing Anderson (though, I have doubts "all" are doing so) if you wanna be technical. Unfortunately, things aren't looking so good in his favor at the moment. He'll get till the end of the season and then things should get interesting one way or another.

Right Dinkins. Now if Rapper said BEFORE the UConn game hey they are on a downswing, a win wouldn’t be a big deal Then his argument holds water. But after the fact 20/20 hindsight hey they were on a downswing after thinking we couldn’t be on the same court as them….HA!!! He seems to always try to come up with an excuse or narrative.

About the only weakness Creighton has is lack of any depth, maybe if we keep it close and get very lucky they get tired late in the game. Would help if we can get Scheierman in foul trouble. I'll take any miracle we can get.

I actually recently asked a well respected member of this board where those two you are referencing have been. I'm not calling them out, but I would like to hear the perspective of those individuals even in the rough times.

I've never EVER blocked anyone on this board. But I've had it with his immaturity and his snarky comments. So for me, he's blocked! And I'm loving it. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty happy about that. ;) :ROFLMAO:

Thanks!! Penn state shit the bed but Kansas state just covered. 2/3 winners.
When GT was up 2 with maybe 5 minutes left, I threw a few bucks on Depaul at +3.5. Figured they'd keep it close. As you know, they went down by 11 then cut it to 3. That had to have you sweating a little, although I always felt like GT was gonna hold on. Was really hoping Depaul either hit the 3 at the end of the game, or just drove for an easy 2, since game was over anyway. No such luck.

And that's why I play the lottery instead. I have a better chance! ;) 🤪😁

Nothing better for this eternal optimist to do this morning than look for some kind of precedent for a miraculous finish. In CMA's second and most successful year for us, we finished the regular season winning 9 of our last 12 including road wins against UCONN, Marquette, Providence & Depaul. That streak allowed us to avoid the Wednesday night BET game for once; of course we proceeded to lose to Hall in OT in the quarters. But if we could finish the regular season on a similar hot note (8 of last 11), we'd have a good shot to dance with one win in BET. I can dream, but I expect I'll wake up to reality tonight lol.

NCJohnnie, you are one of my favorite posters and a really positive guy. You would have made an excellent crisis counselor on Titanic post hitting iceberg 😇
