I'd vote Kadary every time. Team player, it's never about him. It's his best asset. You might need therapy . You are sadly disillusioned about Jenkins .
Always have been . If a survey were taken among fans here , Jenkins would be a overwhelming choice over Richmond . At least I think that would be the result. Richmond , frankly , has been awful , lazy ,out of shape and missing at crunch time . Terrible shooter and can’t make Free throws .,
For a million bucks , he’s been a terrible investment .
KR will never see the NBA , even on a 2 way contract .
He might not even see the G league .
Who's Detroit?Detroit disagrees.
You guys really see color when you watch a basketball game. My kids just didn't grow up like that. The world's really changed. The narrative about Ashworth can be said for a million other guys not named Rex Chapman, Jason Williams (obviously not our Jayson) or Matt McClung.
Rexington and WC paved the way for the future Hoya. One of these things is not like the others and that thing is McClung
As usual you missed the point entirelyYou guys really see color when you watch a basketball game. My kids just didn't grow up like that. The world's really changed.
No, I grew up hearing those points. As usual you missed the point entirely
I obviously know they held us to 56 and won the game.
The point is, your post is making the case that we didn’t play good defense because Creighton won, Ashworth hit some threes, and they scored “27 points off of threes”
If you look at the full context of Creighton as a team. Much of their offense is generated from attempting 3s. Ashworth is a huge part of their offense. To turn him over 10 times and have him shoot close to 30% from the field was a job well done by the defense of this team.
We still lost, I know that. But it doesn’t mean the defense wasn’t good. It was. You can play great defense and still lose a game. Especially when your offense is playing with zero confidence
Not from me, which is what you clearly missed. No, I grew up hearing those points.
Erik Barkley not coming through that door. Living w Smith seems prudent.Yes , I agree to a point . On ball defense is 1 thing ,, 3 point defense is another .
We obviously don’t have a good enough one .
Last Game against Delaware , Camden scored 33 points , many from 3 distance .
Ashlworth was 6 for 18 ,but 4 of the 6 were 3’s. The 3 point shot makes up for some poor shooting stats overall . And , it’s not like he was a unknown target . We knew he and Kallkbrenner would be their key players .
And, their 2 best players delivered . Besides Zuby , who is our best player ? A player other teams hsve to stop ?
I don’t think we have a 2nd best player that other teams worry about .
Sometimes Luis ? Maybe . KR ? Not this year . Smith ? I’m only so / so on him .
No one has mentioned this but , we really don’t have the true PG this year . KR isn’t it , Wilcher isn’t and Smith is very spotty .
This is his first year starting so he has 13 games under his beltHe's a sophomore, and that isn't "young" for college basketball. It hasn't been considered young for about 30 years.
There are always isolated games here and there (he had 20 against Baylor), but for the most part, he has struggled this year, against the better competition. It might be having an effect on his overall game, even against lesser opponents.Yet Scott had 13 points and 7 rebounds when St Johns beat N Texas last year 53-52 scoring a quarter of their points with only Danis Jenkins (17 points) scoring more in the game. And that was against a pretty formidable front line of Soriano and Ledlum.
I believe w added strength Sim can be a very effective combo guard next year. This is his first year starting so he has 13 games under his belt
Agree. Sadly, this team needs sim to be effective now for us to get where we want to go. And not sure if he’s readyI believe w added strength Sim can be a very effective combo guard next year.
That's what I thought was going to happen heading into this year. Hope for some more progress but can't expect him to lead offense next year at current rate of progress.I believe w added strength Sim can be a very effective combo guard next year.
As Rick buys “Dial a Shooter” app.
I agree with you 100% it’s not the shooting. The problem yesterday was the spacing and ball movement. Or I should say lack of both.I'll be in the minority here, but I am not overly concerned about the shooting. I think the poor shooting has a lot to do with the shots we are taking and, in some cases, not taking.
Deivon Smith
He is shooting 44% from three and only took one tonight.
Aaron Scott
Is shooting the three well this year when he is able to set himself. Not good off the dribble, which is the type of threes he has been taking over the past few games. Believe it or not, he is shooting 40% from three on the year. Problem is that he is shooting 16% over the past four games. This speaks to the type of threes he is taking.
Sim Wilcher
He is shooting 40% from three. We need to create shot opportunities for him. He also needs to be set.
Jaiden Glover
I think the current shooting woes have the door wide open for Glover to grab more minutes. I believe he will contribute more as the season goes on.
Brady Dunlap
It remains to be seen how much he can give us this season. But, when criticing the roster build, I think it's worth considering the vision was probably having Dunlap take 3-4 threes per game.
*Luis and Kadary should kill teams with the mid-range jumpers and drives to the basket.
Erik Barkley not coming through that door. Living w Smith seems prudent.
Abandon the weave then lolI agree with you 100% it’s not the shooting. The problem yesterday was the spacing and ball movement. Or I should say lack of both.
I remember the same was said about him last year. "He will be greatly inproved in year 2 under pitino. He will put some weight on" etc etc etc.I believe w added strength Sim can be a very effective combo guard next year.
