Defense is all about effort. Our defense was fine at certain points of the year. It's pretty clear our guys have pretty much given up on the regular season. They probably are focused on the Big East Tournament.

I loved it. It was like a ghost town on campus because of spring break, but it didn't take away from the beauty of the campus. My parents were extremely impressed with the residential area, especially my dad, because that area was all parking lots when he went to St. John's. The D'Angelo Center was really nice.

I was planning on making a thread about it today, but I am going to St. John's next year. I made the decision after the visit. So there's a lot of fans unsure about our team next year but with me in the student section at every home game there's no way we don't have a great season :)

Be careful not to trip over the sleeveless guy's walker while you're in the student section next year.

I recorded the game because I was not going to be home to watch it. Got the final score update on my phone and for the first time all year just went home and deleted the game. I just could not watch that beating knowing it was coming. Had I been watching it live I would have watched to the final whistle but I could not watch knowing the outcome was going to be as bad as it was.

On a side note, congratulations on making your decision Jack!

Thanks for the comic relief! Congratulations on your college decision but why no press conference or did I miss it? :) Will be good to have you in student section but by the time you are an upper class man will expect you to be a student manager! :)
 
We need beef, and we aren't getting it next year - two slight guards and two skinny stretch 3's, and a 6-10 player who sat out yet doesn't weigh 200. Our two 230 pound players aren't physical don't rebound, and we got outmuscled big time yesterday. If Alkins comes, that's a big plus.

Agree which is why I said we need some men on this team. Did anyone notice we were out rebounded 49-22 by Creighton a team that is not exactly physically imposing?

Joe, what were they supposed to do? Throw the ball into the stands on purpose. The sad thing about Sunday's performance was that this middle of pack BE team did not run up the score.

I would say 100-59 is a run up SCORE? Creighton has highly Recruited Players and is a experienced and well Coached team. McDermott could have taken the Air out of the Ball, played the non scholarship and walk ons. Maybe the team Manager too!

Coaches know how to handle Routs like this and not embarrass another School or, its Players and Coaches.McDermott didnt do it.

Please, tell us who are Creighton's "highly recruited players." We'd all like to be enlightened. Even if they do have highly, recruited players; are experienced and well coached.... What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? This isn't 8 year old recreation league ball.

I stopped watching the game midway through the first half, but I've read Creighton had pulled their starters around 7 or 8 minutes left in the game. So, do you want Creighton to hold the ball and receive shot clock violations the remainder of the game? I guess Tom Izzo ran up the score on Rutgers last night, too, huh?

Maybe he is more concerned about his team than his opponent. It's on us not to let the other team "run up the score" which I agree with Dinkins wasn't even the case here.

Yep. My guess is that Joe didn't see this game.
McDermott did all he could to keep from running it up.
