A safe bet is McDermott game plan will target limiting a SJ strength so far, offensive rebounds & preparing for recent wrinkles on D Rick has been employing. McD & Rick are really solid game planners.

St. John's has proved they can win on the road, on a neutral environment and at home. You always have the advantage on the sideline with the coach. St. John's is no longer walking into ANY GAME where a loss is a foregone conclusion. A welcome change for me that hasn't seen a lot of winning in 18 years.

LIke Pitino said after Providence, he's happy they didn't blow out PC and got punched in the mouth. They got tested again and aren't going to coming into this game lax. That should bode well. WVa on the road, UConn on the road, Nova on the road. St. John's has answered the call. Do it again.

Go Johnnies, find a way. Again.

We have only beaten Creighton once at their place since they joined the Big East in 2013. We have gone 1 and 9 in those ten games and lost by an average of 14.1 points per game in those nine defeats. Hopefully we can start a new trend under Pitino, but Creighton is a tough place to play.

Beating Villanova on the road was great and rare. If, in the next two games, we can do the same against Creighton and at Seton Hall (where we are also 1 and 9 in our last ten) that would be a major bugaboo off our backs. It has been very disheartening to have watched us get dominated by certain Big East opponents at their place year in and year out.

Hopefully the Pitino era will continue to turnaround these disturbing trends and we will become a feared opponent for Big East schools that have previously dominated us at their place.

A win tomorrow would be huge. I will have to miss the first half of the game; also missed the first half of the Nova game so maybe that's a good omen.
As long as you get to the south side of your basement , 2nd half will work ., Will be a tough game out there .
I think we have beaten them a few times at CA and maybe the MSG ? Maybe even when the had his son , Doug playing .

Honestly, that sounds about right to me. They're not a great matchup for us...a big the equal of Joel, fundamentally sound and shoot the hell out of the three. They're a tough out at home.
Hoping for the best, happy to be wrong, but low expectations for this one.
Creighton reminds me of Utah and we beat them.

I am hoping we split with Creighton but I expect them to win big. We’ve beaten some flawed teams and they aren’t flawed.

They will push in secondary transition and it’s been a while since we’ve been tested there.

Would love to be wrong because a win here comes with a # before our name Monday and would give us a signature win.

Omaha supposedly getting 6-10 inches of snow between last night and this afternoon. Hopefully team is either already there or flying out this afternoon before bad weather hits NYC.
Supposedly getting 4-8 for Tuesdays game vs. shu, no idea what newark is getting, but newark is close by.

Let's not let their big, Traudt, a freshman I believe, get going from the arc. He can fill it up pretty quickly.
