@Creighton, Sat., Jan. 13, 1p, FOX

Going to be fairly sizable underdogs in this one. Creighton D funnels everything towards the rim where Kalkbrenner plays great D without fouling. Creighton also tremendous defensive rebounding team. That said, the deep drop that Kalkbrenner plays should lead to plenty of open midrange shots for Jenkins, Dingle, Alleyne etc. Not sure if this is going to be a Dunlap type of game.

On the other side, they are gonna shoot a ton of 3s, just gotta hope they're cold

Masterful in media capital of world to boot. I can see how effective he must be fundraising with groups and individuals with $ he knows well on Wall Street.

For a program mired in mud, the stars aligned in our favor w some control freak Dominican pushing Shanley out of PC and Rick getting itch for one big splash on golf course in Westchester. Enjoying the ride w these two mega talents.

And yes the…

Teams like this are a crapshoot, we are much more athletic but the fact is if they are hitting threes we are losing no matter what we do. Unless we score 90

Compete, pressure their somewhat easy to intimidate point guard, Joel has at least a draw w their talented big, consistently defend threes & put yourself in position to steal one at crunch time. They were right there w UConn, no reason they can’t in Omaha. Warren Buffett out with a cold btw.
I could easily see Soriano fouling out against Kalkbrenner, that is the one matchup athletically that doesn't favor us.

McDemott is a fine coach and they have great fans. We now have a fine coach, and we won handily at Nova and came close at Uconn, so we're not intimidated.

Buffett is not out with a cold but very sorry to say passed away (Jimmy that is, may he R.I.P.)

I hope not to see a Creighton Blow-Out disaster as has been so common.

CRP will have us excising our Demons.

Mullin and Anderson years were blow outs after five minutes and nothing to build on
Don't lump our hero in with Cfc like their coaching record here was the same. Show some respect. Mullin inherited the worst team ever in the history of the program. When your best players are Mvoika and Durand, not Durant, you ain't winning. Pitino couldn't have won with that roster year 1 or 2. Ultimately, he had success year four. Cfc on the other hand inherited a returning ncaa tournament team with 2 all conference selections and didn't sniff even the Nit in 4 years. Pitino/Hollywood > Mullin > Cfc/Norm. Facts.

Thank God most of our current players weren’t around for the 104-76 shellacking we took at Creighton in 2023. Personally I am optimistic that we can win this game but psychologically I still remember that drilling.

Funny how a bad loss can play into things even though they have “absolutely nothing” to do with the current situation. Frankly it’s an absolute positive so few players remember it. It would be easy to say put it out of your mind but….it was that bad.
