@Creighton, Sat., Jan. 13, 1p, FOX

What makes me nervous is we've only won once at Creighton. That was Mullin's final year. We have lost 6 in a row to them overall. Seems like we never play well in their building.

While Pitino has always used wit and hyperbole in the media to get his message across, it seems as if he is letting all of his “New York” out and not holding back on the one liners now.

Fun stuff.
Masterful in media capital of world to boot. I can see how effective he must be fundraising with groups and individuals with $ he knows well on Wall Street.

For a program mired in mud, the stars aligned in our favor w some control freak Dominican pushing Shanley out of PC and Rick getting itch for one big splash on golf course in Westchester. Enjoying the ride w these two mega talents.

Compete, pressure their somewhat easy to intimidate point guard, Joel has at least a draw w their talented big, consistently defend threes & put yourself in position to steal one at crunch time. They were right there w UConn, no reason they can’t in Omaha. Warren Buffett out with a cold btw.

Well if win we will be ranked.
I’d go:
Soriano
Ledlum
Taylor
Dingle-going to need him. Time to leave him here and play him.
Jenkins

Luis-perfect 6th man
Dunlap
Alleyne
Zuby-limited mins
Wilcher-limited mins

Conway plays hard and I am sure a nice young man however his very special guest star appearances seem forced and make no sense.

I was gonna call it the Tiramisu game Or maybe Tiramahersu. I ordered a pasta appetizer and pasta main course I'm bloated and didn't care about dessert when I looked at the menu yet once I finished that main course I want that f'ing Tiramisu
How very elitist of you.;)

CRP says that if we had a 20 point win last night, we would get blown out on Saturday:

Zach's report on last night's game:

Mike Vaccaro says that we're becoming relevant again and it will take time to fill the Garden but it will happen:

What a wonderful luxury to be able to bring Luis and Alleyne off the bench as the 6th & 7th men at this point. Over the last several games we have gotten off to hot starts and between the 14:00 - 12:00 mark we bring in these guys and forget a drop off, we get even stronger. It's another wave of Big East level starters we have just simply waiting on our bench, one of them being perhaps our best raw talent. We have been starved for this type of depth for so long. For so many years we went with 6 guys at best because we only had 6 Big East level talents - at most - on the whole team. What a difference and frankly, after being beaten down as fans for so, so long, this is surreal.

Because we were severely out coached every time and our past teams lacked coaching and discipline. This is no longer the case. I’m not saying we’ll definitely win but our chances are immensely better than in past years.

Well, I guess their’s no sneaking up on Creighton. 🙃

Creighton has been a game I’ve been eyeing since we beat Utah. I’ve wondered if this is the kind of team we’re built to beat. They’ve given us tons of problems over multiple coaching regimes.

I think Pitino will unleash something new for this game. That’s an absurd thing to say in January but we don’t have a normal coach.

A shellacking here would hurt more than most years.

That's a good point. As an example of the discipline this team has, something I've been observing is especially last night, the team doesn't celebrate or showboat after hitting a big shot. They immediately communicate with each other to get back into position to press effectively. This is especially true for Jenkins. Hit a bunch of threes last night and his immediate reaction was to rally the team to get back into position. I love it

This time Pitino won’t be gamed like we usually are with our inferior coaches. We usually enter against Creighton with a severe coaching disadvantage. This should be a fun game. We are more physical and should be a fun game. Let’s keep it up!
W #13 on its way, “carrying lots of toys and goodies” for we posters
