Creighton (MSG), Sun., Feb. 16, 3p, FS-1

For all of you at the game today, your support was outstanding! The roar of the crowd was easily apparent and appreciated. Thanks for being present and taking it home!!
Just back from the game and I now know what an actual home court advantage feels like. A complete sell out and hardly a Creighton fan in sight.

I had confidence that Pitino could get this thing turned around, but didn't think it would be so quick.

Drove up from Delaware for the game today and back tonight. Was pumped to be there and game and crowd lived up to all expectations. This year for the first time in 25 years I expect to WIN at the end . I foresee Kadary making a key drive or pulling up for a short jumper in the last 8 minutes to pull ahead. I see RJ pulling down a key rebound and making a key putback. When we create turnovers, we create our own scoring opportunities and they become the dominant scoring method over more traditional free throws or threes. That is how we win , period !I will take it! Enjoy the great ride!

Most of the night Zuby was positioned at top of the key on offense, im sure to pull Kalkbrenner out to create space for driving to the hoop by our guards. Didnt seem to work well, not sure why. Anyone else notice that? Easy to see at game but maybe not on TV.

Because they could live with Zuby shooting 3s or even 15-17 footers.

Great win men.

RJ and KR rebound like the Davis duo of Power Forwards on the Pacers.

Rick pulls the right strings a la Joe Torre.

Fan support came blasting through the TV all game. Explosive. Donny Marshall sucks. Give us Sparnarkle please.

A couple of friendly whistles non whistles. (Smith once knocked Ashworth off his feet with no call).

Zuby got his game back and we offensive rebounded like we did earlier in the season.

With Luis hitting an NBA three mid game I felt a win was inevitable.

Beat DePaul and don’t look past anyone.

So happy for this group of players and us fans.

Did people stay yesterday to support the women’s team?

It would have been deflating for them while warming up to see a mass exodus. Hope I’m wrong.

Not Sim's finest hour today, but made a couple of big plays at key moments. Even though his minutes were limited, he's still the first guy on the bench to be celebrating his teammates effort. Seems like a total team guy, which I respect.
His defense has really improved, but he needs to stop the hand checking, especially well away from the basket. He makes it too easy for the refs to call cheap fouls on him. My only criticism of our outstanding coaching staff is why they haven’t put a stop to this. In comparison, Smith guards without using his hands. Sim needs to learn from Smith if he is going to become the great player he could be.

When Scott hit that side step three late in the second half, being in the building that was definitely one of the loudest crowd pops I’ve experienced in MSG for an SJU game
Really is awesome when in unison it happens. To me the Pitt game was the best moment.

Amazing what a difference from last year to this year the crowd is like. Not just showing up but being so loud.
