I promised myself and girded myself not to get too high or too low about the outcome of today's game. It was just one game, albeit very important, in an outstanding season.

As a result, I'm not as ecstatic as I should be, even though we've waited years for a game like today.

Did any of us really know just how great a coach Rick is. Did America?
Looking at his resume? I'd say yes, which is why me and others wanted him so damn bad.

Really wanted to say to fans of the top teams in the Conference that we'll kick your asses on the court this year and inside my really have confidence in those words. Because when walking away I'd say to myself "God I really wish that would happen just knowing it would.

With Rick here, now I say that knowing that it's going to happen. So proud of these guys on the court. No matter what happens from here on.

They're our Champs, and Rick is leading the way
This is why bringing Rick here was a no brainer.

This is like a dream, never believing that this feeling could happen for SJU, but here we are, on top of the conference and in the Top 10.
Miracles happen, and Rick makes miracles become reality.

Couldn’t attend/watch this Live… just finished the tape… wow… what a performance. Quick takeaways:
-Dev’s passing is something else… the English he puts on his bounce passes, at the speed he’s going, to end up in the perfect spot is incredible
-I think Gus Johnson is washed… there was a play where Scott challenged a shot by going straight up, that Gus Screamed that Liam got clobbered/hacked… something like that- and then Jim Jax corrected him when they showed the replay… was funny cause he was just silent after
-if we can turn that 5min of Sim at the end of the game… and extrapolate that over his Junior year… he’ll be special
Good stuff. Except the part about Gus. I still like the guy a lot.

Gus acted the same way every time we played Villanova. We could be winning handily and all he talked about
was Jay Wright. I was at the game and watched Hurly , he was the most subdued and normal I ever saw him.
You watch Pitino, he’s such a class act. He gets on his coaches and players 10 x more than the refs. Hopefully
the refs have had enough of Hurley, they stayed away from him at every tv break

I agree. He was pretty normal
Kept waiting for the Hurley outburst

Admit it. You are higher then a Denver ncaa regional right now 😀 And if we get sent out there I have a great ladies dance place for us to go to
This is way different than Denver, Charlotte, Dayton, or even Charleston. This is all business - there's an attainable goal of winning. I just made reservations yesterday for Providence hotel to be able to walk to arena, just in case we get sent there. Lunardi has us in midwest, which crazily could mean Seattle.

The thing is, as great as it is, first place is no longer the goal. The Big East championship no longer the goal. Even in 85, we weren't even the best team in the league.

I won't be deflated if we don't get to San Antonio, but right now, that's the goal. At the very same time, not to stumble vs Butler or Seton Hall and take it one game at a time.

I told someone yesterday my biggest fear is I wake up and discover this has all been a dream. And it has been, a dream season so far.
